all it takes to lose sympathy with mayo is slightly too much on one sandwich one time, i only stopped my aversion to it when i realized what the ingredients actually are lmao
For those that don’t know; when you toast bread using mayo , the inside of the bread will be toasted but still soft and tender while the outside is crisp. With butter this is harder to achieve and you’re likely to just get toasted bread, all of it on that side toasted and crisp. That’s why most people in these chef videos use mayo. Also, try Japanese mayo before disregarding it entirely
