Think about it, after all these years (sorry camila) he finally gets the girl he has wanted he now can freely talk about it, he is so happy, all this time it has been bottled up inside him filled with anxiousness he has a purpose and can talk about his truth instead of making up stories. That’s literally what happened between me and this guy. We’ve been friends for a long time and he’d always bug me about how he felt but I always brushed it aside since he was a bit younger. I finally caved in at the end of 2019 and told him I liked him too. I honestly thought it would be like a movie. Two childhood friends dating. I thought I’d experience real love for the first time but it’s been terrible. He ruined our friendship and couldn’t even keep the relationship alive and I gave up and we don’t even talk anymore. The love Shawn and Camila are experiencing is what I thought I’d experience too. It’s nice to see a story so similar to yours succeed. Mine didn’t but I’m happy for them. Anyways I just wanted to share this and vent 😭

He must have felt like “Song for no one” and as he mentioned in “Higher” he said last year was a broken heart and most SM3 songs, he was a few weeks off form telling her his feelings but remember it was only after he heard her album “Camila” that he got the nerve up to tell her he wrote “Why” about her “when i hear you sing can’t help but think every songs about me and every song that i write you are the muse in the back of my mind” because those songs on her album are about him, both of them were too scared to tell each other they liked each other so they wrote songs and she never had a clue his songs were about her
