To the young person who asked why did Jesus have to be his Lord and Savior, I can only tell you why I made him Lord and Savior in my life. For one, I grew up in a very abusive home and Jesus was there. How do I know he was there? I'm still alive today. I've been shot, stabbed, neglected, cheated on and lied to and lied on. I did 7 years in prison. I was in an automobile accident where the car flipped multiple times. I've been homeless, hungry. I've had almost everything negative happen to me which could happen to a man. 90% of it, I put myself through it. Everything I went through, every time I called on Jesus, somehow some way, he showed up and he showed out. I've been the walking dead twice. Twice I had bilateral pneumonia. The doctors told me that they didn't know how I was walking...how I made it through. They said that I should have been dead. Every time I called on Jesus, he helped me through my sickness, my suffering and my pain, because it wasn't me who helped myself. You see, I couldn't help myself. I don't know what would make you realize that Jesus is all you will ever need. My trials and tribulations are what allowed me to see, but what I can tell you young person, is that he is waiting for you. He loves you. He loved you so much that he was willing to go through abuse...beat all night long, skin ripped from his bones. In the book of Luke, he was a physician, he said that he didn't look like a man standing there, for he was just that badly beaten. I hope one day you will make him Lord and Savior of your life.
