In my experience the two main reasons people do not let the beard grow is 1) It automatically forces you away from majority of females. The disbelieving women will not pay you any attention which may make you feel ugly or they may purposely make you feel ugly as they dont want you to show that you are a muslim on the outside (assimilation) {Also if 99% of us kept the proper beard well then they cant call us terrorists anymore because we work with them and they know us, they cant lie or pretend any more once it is normalized} and the believing women who may commit zina but still have some fear of Allah swt will avoid flirting/free mixing with men with beards. Just like men who commit zina yet have some fear of Allah swt, they will avoid getting close to a hijabi as they feel like they are now stepping over a clear mark, almost like going against Allah swt as an enemy. 2) Some men genuinely do not want to be seen as terrorists by "others". But instead of educating people or letting them deal with it, they end up keeping a short "designer" beard... just like some disbelievers have just to fit in. If something about someones appearance makes me uncomfortable because it reminds me of something i fear, well then i work on bettering myself, i dont try to manipulate the person/people into changing so that i feel safe. The insecurity lies inside them, Grow your beards like we are told and let them be bushy like muhammad's pbuh was and trim your mustache. Remember, life is a test. We will also be tested out of fear of looking ugly, but have you noticed that muslim men who have beards and focus on religion are more beautiful then muslim men who fear being ugly and keep short beards? There is no comparison between a practicing muslim and a non practicing muslim because one is trying to avoid discomfort in this dunyah and the other is at minimum failing constantly attempting to overcome it's trials and tribulations. (If your palm is not burning then the coal is not in it) It is no coincidence that the majority* of men with short beards that are size 2/3 (1 or 2 Finger width) do not pray 5 times prayer and the majority* of men who have a beard a fist width or longer (Minus those who's beard dont grow itself) pray 5 times a day. Im not having a go at anyone but i am trying stop us all from being manipulated and controlled into leaving a sunnah aside by people who dont care about us, be real and be firm... and above all follow Muhammad pbuh no matter what the disbelievers want from you. May Allah swt forgive us and grant us all the strength to do what is righteous, me first and foremost.

The answer comes from what the companions of the prophet used to see fit as the right length. From Marwan bin Salim al-Muqfa’ who said: ‘I saw Ibn Umar grab a hold of his beard and cut what was more than a FISTFUL.’ Also Abu Zura’a bin Jareer said: ‘Abu Hurairah would take a hold of his beard, and whatever was under his fist he would cut it.’ I think that makes it clear enough to say that having a beard shorter then a fist size does not make sense (though it is considered okay by some)

The barakah will come from following the Prophet peace be upon him, even if it means not a single hair grows, or only one, or a full beard, as long as you're following his commands as much as possible and avoiding the prohibitions, inshaa'Allaah you'll have barakah in everything you do.

He looks like Professor Dumbledore. You don’t dress or look like a Warrior when you’re not on the battlefield. That is against the Sunnah as an act and this beard he has is also against the Sunnah. @@HelpQasimFirst perhaps our Prophet pbuh grew it longer also but the beard has to be beautifully groomed as it is an adornment from Allah like long hair is for women. Cannot grow it like a wild animal and call it Sunnah. Large numbers of Salafists have misunderstood the text and failed to groom their beards correctly and ended up making their beards look ugly and their faces look strange, in the name of Sunnah. @@Randomhandlename trim or no trim, thats not even the point .prophet pbuh advised us to not resemble jews or christians. Thats enough for us. We read and we believed. That hadith was not for that time only, its forever. Do not resemble jews. That why we trim our beards and our mustaches and to keep ourselves from not looking like jews. Our deen is wasata. The moderate way. The middle ground. Having a haphazard style of beard is against the lifestyle of prophet pbuh. Anyone with even the basic knowledge of seerah would tell you that growing beard indefinitely is against the mizaj of prophet pbuh. What? You want all muslims to grow the beard till the knees?

@@r3al1200 beard being extremely long is a rare case for men even then cutting it fist length the beard is not flowing. In rare cases islam even allows a person to eat pork because of difficulty, exception is not the general rule and there’s no proof from the messenger for beard being long where one can grab it with a fist

So you’re saying sahaba understood better than the messenger himself while we have clear cut proof from the messenger who was infallible while sahaba were not free from error? Allah said if you differ refer back to Allah and his messenger
