Dying Fetus has been a staple band for me for the past 15 years. They just shred. Also smoked a joint with John Gallagher after a show in Jersey. He let me check out his rig and guitar when it was on stage after the show.
Dying Fetus has BECOME a staple death metal band for me; joining the likes of Carcass, CC, Bloodbath, Suffocation and Nile. This was also my favorite metal album of 2023 \m/ \m/
Lmfao at the 26 min mark Album is another straight banger. It doesn't make any sense how they still sound like this. 5/5 And Tomb Mold, Cannibal Corpse and Job For A Cowboy ahead of us still
I think they have moved the genre a bit forward with this album. They are just doing crazy technical things you don't see in death metal; unless you belong to Nile that is. Cannibal Corpse played it a bit safe on Chaos Horrific, but Dying Fetus did not on this one. It just burns you to the ground; scorched earth type shit. Suffocation's Hymns of the Apocrypha started really strong but didn't finish as strong as it started. This album just hits you the whole way and is so damn interesting to listen to. You could call it Dying Fetus's Pierced from Within moment. Either way, awesome video \m/ \m/
@@therapturekid In The Trenches, Subjected To A Beating, From Womb To Waste are all among their absolute best songs! And I also love Dissidence (catchy tremolo main riff + HEAVY outro), Devout Atrocity (sickest intro riff ever, and generally groovy mid-tempo song + great slam outro), and Revisionist Past (melodic tremolo death metal main riff
Since you like dying fetus a lot. , i suggest you check out the album Excruciating Extermination by Horrific Demise ; its the best album DF never wrote in my opinion
