He doesn't even love himself. He doesn't know what love is. He's just a despicable human being that keeps playing victim, thinking he's suffered the most, he's super childish, selfish, irresponsible. A huge fool. He never truly embrace his fate as to live as emperor. Always find excuses to cover his cruel schemes. This character knows no love, if he knows love he won't do such monstrous deeds. He's just an empty shell with no wisdom or virtue. Dang, I think I'm reflecting so much with this drama. So many life lessons to learn XD

If you think about it, Yehenara Yihuan story make her perfect candidate for 4 beauties of ancient china, a group of woman chosen as a political tool to control/bring down their opponent by distracting them from their duties. Some of them ended up fall in love with the man they suppose to control (e.g Diao Chan and Lu Bu) just like Yihuan and the emperor. And most of their life ended up in tragedy, again just like Yihuan.

其实我觉得这些事最开始起因还是怪太后。甄嬛想安插人在皇上身边，也不用这般大张旗鼓地引荐啊！前面有玫嫔和庆贵人，是谁谁不怕?叶赫那拉意欢就是太傻了，傻到以为可以得到皇上的真爱，才把自己困死了。这个世界上不是你付出的感情就能得到的同等回应的，普通人尚且如此。他可是皇上啊，有那么多女人，对他来说回应这些女人都不过是他赏赐的君恩罢了
