For those who either didn't watch this or dropped it early on, it's a Narnia situation. This is a parallel world where earth's time moves a million times slower, and the main characters are forced to move in between both in order to save earth
So he was in her world, returned to his, might only be gone for a day or two, but several years had passed in her world when he returned? This... is hurt on a whole new level.. EdiT: whoops other way around, he was with ehr in this world but gets pulled out of this world for quests, but while he is gone several years pass in his original world while for him it is only a few days.

Reading the manga had me all up in my feelings. It truly took him a while to realise how much of an effect he had on the worlds he was in and understand how valuable their lives were.
Facts. It's a slow burn manga, but it's definitely rewarding if you keep at it. This part hurt a lot, though... I was really hoping they'd end up together, but then this happened. Lol.
This was one of the most heart breaking concepts when I watched this anime. Every time dude comes back to this world years upon years have passed. But for him it’s only been a couple days
@@hobomike6935 from what I remember they are teleported there once every week(?) to complete a mission. And once that mission is completed they return to their world.
@@Camlling and to add on, the time flow between their world is different. Like in this case only 1 week passed for the mc but the time in her world moved by 15 years and its not static. The difference can vary. That was the kind of bomb they dropped after showing the budding love. I really felt sad that time which rarely happens while watching anime.

This is actually much sadder then it tell you so he and his party are from a different world but they travel to that from time to time but when ever they leave and come back time for her world is 15 year has pass
Someday. Liking someone and knowing the time isn't right to tell them kind of sucks, cuz you are right. Never know what tomorrow holds, but Hopefully my 'someday' comes soon.
For those who were curious about their story: The girl was Knight NPC on that virtual reality world. While the boy is a player sent by a GameMaster of that Virtual World to complete missions(like a game). They both adventured together and the girl fell in love with the boy. But since their worlds are completely different, time in the Virtual world runs faster than the real world. When the boy returns back to his world to rest for a week and then goes back to the virtual world to do mission, girl became a mother to his surprise and realized that 15 years had passed until they met again. Its an highlighting moment that would make you cry.

When they again transfer in that world for 2nd mission. They saw that world's already 15 years has past and they saw her with her kids (she already got married with other person). Thats time she proposed him and she knew that they can't live together.
It still hurt. I still cried. The teaser showed they finally kissed but only after the time skip. It still sting me to this day. Imagine loving someone, sharing the same pain, experience and interest together, thinking this man is the one, only to hear they suddenly disappear and you didn't confessed your feeling. She thinks she can wait and when he returns, she will confess but little did she knew, she will only reunite with him after 15 years. That's a long time. One can imagine the regret unable to confess and unable to move on. We can only wonder how different she would have been if she just confess 15 years ago. But alas, fate is very cruel. They cannot be together because the truth is the man that she loved lived in another world with different time flow. What he experience in a week, 15 years has passed for her. She cannot be with him, and she will not be the last one.
Because of the time difference she cannot be with him is heart breaking, the regret of not confessing love , from starting the man didn't got the respect he deserved from other girls and when finally a girl love him this is what happens it's heartbreaking for both of them

I hear ya, but there wasn't any way he could be there. The time difference between his and her worlds was wayyyyyyyyy different, as we see. In my head, I like to think he married her, had twins, and tried to be the best father he could be, but again... That game master would've fked things up for our boy.
The worst thing is that one of her descendants ends up in a war where she ends up having "physical" relations with all her warriors and not because they force her but because she wants to.

I have a relationship like that with a friend of mine, she’s great honestly. One I consider family if I’m being honest and it’s not romantic, as much as you try to think it might romantic it just isn’t. More like a really really good best friend. She’s supported me through hell and back, it’s a wonderful thing, we have. It’s priceless.

You don't feel stressed about being honest worried about how they will react like with a crush. There's no risk of breakup or never speaking again because you are not dating. You don't need to move together or pay the bills or have children or all these expectations because you are not married. There's no seggs expected cause you are not f buddies. You just simply exist together. Two humans.
It's kinda sad that time was their boundary because there's nothing they could do... And she even apologized for growing old... Which is so fking heartbreaking man... She waited for 15 years for his return to confess only for time to set them apart... I'd feel sht if I was the mc and also feel sht if I was the girl.
This scene made me cry. Why? because the time difference between the two worlds there is too far! If there wasn't a time difference, maybe they would already be a couple :( and when he returned to that world the third time, the woman was dead, and the child looked very much like its mother. That made me cry even more😭 Addition : This woman is the best woman ever in anime. He helps, saves, sacrifices and does not forget his feelings.😢 I highly recommend this anime. and there is still a sequel to this anime, so don't worry☺️
There were only few scenes in the history of anime which I truly felt and this scene was definitely one of them... This was so beautifully executed it broke my heart.
This moment is the one many of us reach when we look back and realize that we should have told them before it was too late... This series is dark and beautiful at the same time.

I'm watching it in night and after finishing s1 the 1st ep of s2 has this scene and cried like hell bcuz of the piano and how she cried with a smile. So I thinking about drop it still watched then it happens again in ep 7 then I cried a lot while listening to music and finally drop it and go to sleep 😢😢😢😢
Idk if u know this but a week in his world is 15 years in hers. So the next time he returns a few episodes later, she is dead They can’t control the travel between worlds
So, for context him and his friends are summoned to this world and need to complete missions to save that world and theirs. After every mission, they go back to their world for a few weeks. But years pass in the other world. So for him, it's just been a few weeks, but for her years, I have gone by.
Love is the best feeling when u meet someone that care about u a lot. Some that loyal kind and trustful that someone will have y💓our back no matter what ❤
It was sad because he could not recognise true love at that time, thinking everyone were either tools or for his personal gain. It was subtly mentioned as his thoughts in the manga as he thought to himself "did I actually forget something?"
Man this made me wanna cry cuz I had this childhood friend and I had a crush on her but she didn’t have a crush on me she liked someone else in our class and whenever we went somewhere together I saved the photos no I’m not a creep I didn’t have them all over my walls and stuff but she only stayed in town for 5 years so when she left I was sad and i barely ate cuz I never got to tell her so this is a reminder whenever you like someone and you trust them be sure and tell them cuz u could end up like me😅
Yeah probably one of the saddest moments in this anime it wasn't even 15 years in the real world when he came back either i really think the game master is a villain in this anime i could be wrong but right now that's my opinion
If I remember correctly it’s usually only like a week between each mission yeah? But the other world I don’t think is synced up to that in how long it can be?
It is so 7 days in the real world is a week and in the game it's a year I get that it's a game but you really feel for the characters that died and game master is the villain and I know the game master in the real world tells him if he ever regretted killing those people that deserved it in his eyes and acts like a teacher to him but I think that's just act for the game master to reveal being the antagonist all along the game master is already dead and the game master species type is monster if they plan on finishing the anime that's my theory

Guess people just grow apart sometimes. Also that "I *loved* you" part. That's some hard hitting writting. She hit him with that past tense.
From what I remember for a 2 week time span in Earth’s time, it’s like what the caption mentioned like 15-20 years time in this other world. The clip shows him showing up twice, the girl was the same age the first time, and is twice his age the second time. He comes back a third time and is met with her daughter and she’s been dead for quite some time. Honestly heart breaking to think about knowing that you loved someone for so long, moved on, married, had kids even, then finally seeing that same person realizing that you still have a strong affection for him/her. I teared up pretty good for her
