@@twozero2826 Oh, but I am a drummer. If you watch carefully you will notice that she changes her posture 'before' the rhythm changes. Granted, it could be that she changes every eight bars which would go some way to explaining away the situation. But the uncanny part is the fact that each set appears to match the new rhythm even though she has no way of knowing what is coming and Gordo has no idea what she is doing.
He has talent, he's, a musical genius. She is instinct and mystical ancestry. No, she also has talent and genius. As once said of Ginger Rogers she matched Fred Astaire move for move only she did it backwards and in high heels
0:56 sometimes as a dancer, you just sync up with the music. It's hard to explain but it happened to me a lot when I used to breakdance. It's not just luck and right timing but there's a moment where you just become in sync with the music even if it's your first time hearing it. Like this example, this is the first time she heard him play this but for a short moment, her body knew he was going to slow down the pace for a few seconds It's very similar to what happens when a group of musicians get together and jam. Sometimes the group would come up with a new song that sounds really good, with no mistakes, on their first try.
Sometimes, the universe demonstrates that consciousness is a property intrinsic to itself by linking multiple organisms via a conduit such as music. When we are not linked together, it is easy to assume that my consciousness is my own, but my consciousness is only borrowed from a dimensional frame interwoven into the fabric of space-time. It's when we sync to other organisms through a unifying conduit that this becomes apparent.
That can be explained by how common it is to group 4 bars into a phrase, and group 4 of that, and group 4 of that too. The last bar of those collections often have some special transitions or pick-up lines
@@VFRyan800, too bad! People and their phones!! It takes from the beauty of the spontaneity of the moment, and makes it calculated, and not special, as it was at the beginning.
I think I’ve always been amazed at drummers and being able to drum more than any other instrument, because everything’s fucking moving man! Mad respect
Life gets hard when you’re the only vibey one around. She’s a supernova yet the stiff response from EVERYONE else seemed to make her feel out of place. Imagine if we all joined in and embraced joy!🤎
@@jesstiss222 if i was there id probably join in though im shy to start anything. Also not a good dancer. I do feel the beat too though. Some songs i cant help myself lol.
@@jesstiss222 Legit she only stopped because of the creep next to her friend who was clearly taking butt shots. I don't think she gives a crap that no one else was dancing, just like the drummer does not care that no one is playing music
He says "thanks" every time someone donates him some money, talented and respectful. This man deserves success as he's not overwhelmed by ego and after earning fame still is respectfull.
That is the great thing about music - how it pulls people together in mutual harmony. Beautiful dancing to your accomplished drum beats on buckets. Love it.
Music does not bring people together. Stop with the delusional campfire Kumbaya crap. Black people were the first Homo sapiens to create art and literature. Does that eradicate racism from non-African racial categories? Does music stop foreign nations from meddling in Africa's domestic affairs? I think not.
@@deamorebeaute2412 being racist does not eradicate racism. Individual characters are not a collective hive, we each have out own personality and race does not attribute to an individual's moral guidance. What I decide to do, is not decided by my race, what anyone decides to do is a decision formed by their own mind. Racism is an excuse, used by people, consciously, with the intentions of disgusting their own personal inadequacies, and associating a problem with a collective rather than facing the truth of their own individual reality
@@deamorebeaute2412 what is wrong with you? No one is bringing what people's race is into the conversation or world problems. People were talking about music and how people heard it or reacted to it. Go seek some professional help and it probably wouldn't hurt to do a little self reflection.
Crazy Good Drummer! The dancer was feeling it from the inside out....the rhythm is felt first in the soul, body responds in a cool subtle groove. Very fun to watch your video!
@@MrStayAlive Thank you so much for, to let me know this!!! I never heard or thaught about this... And even if it wouldn't be true, I would love the Idea... 💯💚
I keep rewatching this... She felt that so deeply she had to move! I've been wriggling all over my chair while listening! Seriously, amazing drumming, amazing dance by the young lady and I am saving this to a list to use when I need to motivation to move! Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent and ability!
Let me just say, I'm not coordinated to make a descent rhythm on the same surface, but to keep in rhythm with one hand and spinning the stick in the other.... insane. I love when drummers do stuff like that
Terrific. Kills me how he changes the tone of the green bucket by lifting it up with his foot! The things people come up with! AND, yes, her dance WAS PERFECT!
Oh my gosh. I could listen to him all day. The girl dancing, the music touched her soul. It was perfect. They make a great team. I wish she had danced more.
i think generally because they are young and have yet to be traumatized by capitalism, their view of money and its value are incomprehensible. where as adults understand every dollar has value and are more strick with giving. even as you get rich you understand every dollar you have is what makes you rich so giving any away without knowing you'll have it returned somehow many times over is not an option.
@Vaith Believe it or not, but the rich probably give out their money more than anyone else. And they are the ones you don’t even hear about or know the names of. You’ll be much more likely to be traumatized by a command economy than a market economy so count your blessings while you still can, and don’t assume these children will grow up in fear surrounding the issue of dollars and cents. They may just end up smarter than you financially.
Hi, I am Turkish and I did not know English so I needed to translate this from translet. this is really an excellent art. excellent. I hope I could explain myself :)
This was so satisfying to watch His skill, his smile, girl in the background, lot of kids giving him money , lot of people stopped and recognised this genius act. This video was spot on for me.
Baby, you are one hell of a drummer!!! My hats off to you babe..... I know this video was about the young lady dancing to the rhythm of the drums, but what did it for me in this video was the children and how they gave and how proud it made them to do so. I did not see but one adult (teen) that contributed. So, here's to the children and their generosity!!!!!
Love the drumming. I grew up with it. Sometimes I'd fall asleep in the den with my brother, God rest his soul, playing his drums. Esp to Inna Godda Da Vida. He loved playing that. This is a great drummer. And I love to see people join in by dancing. That shows great appreciation for his talent.
-that's requires A WHOLE LOT, MORE ENERGY, than most people realize.. that's HIGH-ENERGY STUFF... If you see somebody doin' this kind of thing, and you are able to spare a little somethin', show them... A LITTLE 💵 LOVE !!!!
When your kid wants a drum set for Christmas and buckets are left under the tree! LoL This was truly awesome though! Kudos (when I was a kid, we used pots, pans, and lids)
I had a drum set when I was little but someone busted holes in all of them but I only had them for like a month. It was like a little toddler set though lol.
@@tarynjones3910 Actually, if you followed his story, you will find it went the other way around. Playing the actual drums after all this was not an easy transition for him.
This is absolutely amazing. I’m from Louisiana, born and raised, and you see a lot of this in New Orleans but this guy is on another level. From a musician to another, much respect. Absolutely amazing. Speed, accuracy, tempo , and showmanship, MIND BLOWN !!!
I suddenly feel that doing this busking can be such a humbling thing, he definitely is earning so much more from the youtube advertisment and views , but he still chose to put a bucket and thank every single person who donated no matter the amount who appreciates his work 😊👍🏻🙏 #Respect
@@RGP_Maths It's not always the case. I remember sometimes my mom would give me money to give to talented performers like this when I was a kid (sometimes $5/10/20). It could be that some kids were given money by their parents to do a good thing to teach kind acts or behavior. Kids also don't really understand how much they should give because they don't yet completely understand and able to determine monetary value (how much things are worth) so that also makes it likely that it was the parents who gave it to them. But I agree that there weren't very many individual adults that came up to give him money.
@@Feathertail2205 - This was a very thoughtful reply, Feather, but I tend to think that RGP Maths was making a joke about the kids being generous, knowing full well that it was the parents giving the money. I could be wrong though, I suppose? Take care ☺
@@previouslyachimp Oh, it's harder to tell when someone is serious or joking these days on the internet without tones. 😅 Oh well, I tried to cover the bases. Thanks and have a nice day!
If only we were all like the young lady dancing with the impressive hair at the start ,not given a hoot who's watching and just feeling the beat 😁Can you imagine 🤷♂️❤️Brilliant Gordo ,thanks 👍
I dance about as well as Elaine on Seinfeld, except my only move is the booty shake. I try to shake my shoulders and have had skilled teachers try to teach me, but my ass goes instead like a dog spying a treat 😅 I'd need a lot of alcohol to dance like nobody is watching, but at that point I'd be wanting to do some karaoke and my singing skills are worse than my dancing 😅 if only I could make a living from people paying me to not sing or dance 🤔
I played jazz for more than 30 years. The younger generation is amazed with " Whiplash". And I share this video with them. This is pure amazing art at its best!!!!! Cheers!!!!
