Maybe a tip to go to stores cheaper than Ulta. There are a lot of other stores selling the exact same or exact similar stuff for way cheaper, would be easier on Grace's budget as well, without having to put things back.
Quick tip. With Makeup and sometimes hair products, I do understand why going to Ulta. However a lot of beauty products you can get a great deal at Marshall's. I have gotten face masks and body lotions at Marshall's for a lot cheaper than I would have gotten at Ulta beauty and they are the same thing. They have great sections of nail stuff as a way.
I don’t, that’s real life when you have a budget. She was able to get a ton of stuff with the money she had set aside for that and was smart to not dip into savings for non-essential items. These are great lessons my mom taught myself growing up as well. I now have limited income so budgeting is a must.
I agree and disagree... she's just a kid, although I do think her learning to manage money at a young age is great but I feel that everything she earns and buys shouldn't be that way. Finance is a very heavy burden most adults have and I feel putting that fully on her at such a young age is a big burden for a young kid. But I disagree becouse... that is how she is being raised by her parents and it's there business in the end of how they parent there child :)
I disagree because she is already getting a ton of money and u don’t exactly need a lot of makeup and skincare..Plus the money is leftover that proves that she already has what she needs this is what she wants
@@lils8346 Well Theres a difference, your 12 and she’s 11. I’m just trying to say it could mess up her future life, and if she doesn’t care, then she doesn’t care jokes on her. Didn’t mean to start this whole conflict-
Yay girls day! It’s so awesome your daughter understands self care. I’m working on that with my two. Any advice for a family of 7 wanting to start the rv life?
I'm pretty sure RV life with a family of 7 would be really hard. There will hardly be any space and there are often not much RVs having enough sleeping places for any family above 4-5 persons, even these big RVs. So I would not recommend it at all. Maybe if you take two RVs, but that would a bit miss the point. I would rather wait until the oldest move out and start getting into RV life when you're a family of 3-5 people.
This is not a hate comment but she had a whole basket she had to put back as someone a similar age I’m a girl I think it’s embarrassing at the check out to put back a lot if I were a mum I personally would have helped her
That wouldn't learn her anything. If she wants to prevent that embrassing moment from happening she should shop in her budget and actually check every item if that she can afford it, instead of blindly putting stuff in the basket. If her mom would cover anything she is in shortage, she would always expect her mom to cover (and maybe start to get over her budget every time because her mom will cover it anyways), while she should learn the worth of money and count the price of her products before heading to check-out. Because in adult life, you also can't just make money appear out of nowhere, while you have a budget. Her mom did offer that she could use her savings, but Grace choose to rather put some things back, instead of using her savings, what's really smart. Maybe next time when she has money again, she is able to buy the other things as well.
I like this idea because it teaches budgeting, wants over needs, etc. However, in my opinion I feel it’s missing the most important part. That money isn’t just handed over. It’s earned. We do something like this but give our kids opportunities for “work” to make their money. We pay them well for their hard work if they chose to take the chore. We buy all necessities for them including clothes/shoes, hygiene products, all of the parental responsibility stuff and then they save for their extras with the money they’ve worked for. We’ve also taught our oldest how to find the best deals for what she’s looking for online, compare pricing and look for sales. Many times she saves lots of money by being a smart shopper and not just going with the first price she sees.
These are family vloggers so their money comes from exploiting these children. All the parents are doing is putting their kids' faces and personal information online for views and money. They even posted videos of the oldest in the hospital for serious psychiatric issues. If they were normal parents who weren't constantly filming and putting their kids online, then chores for money would be great. But they'd probably film their kids doing chores, and then any normal viewer would have to ask, where's the $$ for the labor of being an unwilling reality star?
If one of your children can use money from being on the channel for a gaming laptop why not just give her her money for the things she wants? It's not like a gaming laptop is a nessicity just like makeup. Your children have differnt hobbies why give into one child but not the other?
I’ll never understand what makes people believe they can tell a stranger how to spend their money on their own children. You do you mama, your children seem very well adjusted and kind.
I think Ross or Marshall’s also would have been more helpful I tend to look at deal stores cause you always find ultra items in their I’ve got all my brand name items from Ross.
maybe look into some speech therapy and take her to see an ENT about her voice cheek and nose situation. if she started breathing through her mouth alot... ENT right away. You can roll her eyes at this or you can just trust a stranger who MEANS WELL
I mean, that’s how it should be. There’s no life lesson if you jump in and cover the difference because they’ll grow up to expect their parents to pay the difference.
Sephora is expensive… I Sure there is better prices at Alta. I’m 🇨🇦 so just guessing here. I just saw a vanilla perfume and it was $197???? Ummmm no thank you.
