He wrote this as a eulogy to himself, saying what he would want to say were to pass on.

That was the Dead Boy's Poem, spoken from a small boy representing the songwriter, Keyboardist, Tuomas Holopainen. He wrote the words to the poem and the entire song. Such a powerful vocal ending from the queen!
This song is very personal for Tuomas. It's about him and how he wants to be remembered. I think he wants this played at this funeral. Whenever you see 'boy' or 'poet' , Tuomas is usually talking about himself. This is an older song, from the 3rd album, Wishmaster. (Tarja era)
I would add that he was 22 when he wrote this. Just a few years before he was a regular Finish teenager and now he all of a sudden is Tuomas the Great, the leader, the writer and one of the performers of Finlands biggest export product, feeding hundreds of families. He is kind of mourning his childhood that was cut short real fast. He is not yet Tuomas-Metal-Mozart, but no longer the Boy-Tuomas, leaving him in a bit of an identity-limbo.
@@MacZussie To me, it always seemed like "and you" meant the world. He feel for the world, he love life, thus why i wished he didn't feel for it anymore before going. The love letter to nobody isn't really to "nobody", it's to the world in the end.

This song is more poetry than song! The keyboard player, Tuomas, wrote this song, more as an autobiography...and from what I understand, from being around my Aunt, is that artists often feel misunderstood growing up! I did many other things growing up...played football, baseball, competitive weight lifting...etc. But, where I felt "at home" was when I was drawing or painting! I could express myself. My Aunt understood that because that was where she felt at home. The reason why Nightwish is so good is the music and the words to the songs express things we've all gone through, & experienced, which makes the songs we can all relate to! Greg, read the lyrics...we've all gone through phases in our lives where we feel that no one understands us! Tuomas just put it into music! One thing someone pointed out on another reaction to this song that I thought was pretty poignant….Emppu’s guitar solo…the expression on his face when he finishes…not his usual smiling, happy visage. Maybe that demonstrates the power of this song….it even got to him. Marko's instrument is called "The Beast". The top neck is a 4 string bass guitar, and the bottom one is a 6 string electric guitar. Floor's vocal interpretation of so many of Tuomas' s songs I believe, have given him closure to how he wanted them to sound and be remembered. And yes, Emppu is total empathy and business with his solo.

The thing that really speaks to me IS all of them feeling The songs and being able to deliver that on contagious way. Interesting to note that the valkyrie are often described as having "swan suits" there power of flight and their job conveying fallen warriors is connected to this garment. I beleive in one of the stories Loki "borrowed " one for some purpose.
Nice reaction fella. Music & lyrics (including spoken parts) were written by Tuomas Holopainen, the keyboard player.He really is a Master songwriter. Floor looks and sounds great doesn't she? She takes her overall wellbeing seriously and along with doing regular vocal exercises also keeps herself in good physical condition with exercise and healthy eating. As someone who enjoys lifting weights myself i'd love to see Floor's workout routine, she has arms that many hardgainer guys would be jealous of.
She " works out" at her home, far out in the swedish forests 🤗( I don't know where, exactly but I have heard that it is a few hours driving in the forest, before you are there. Both she and Hannes, her husband needs the quiet and complete darkness at night, to reload their batteries, when they are not on tour 🤗
Hannes has said an advantage of being out in the country is that he also didn't want to bother any neighbours when practicing on his drums. Check out Floor's channel for info.
@@ecbftl I've seen the video where she references fan comments regarding her arms and jokingly says that she doesn't work out, but works around their property whilst wielding a huge mallet. Notwithstanding her level of activity around their small Ranch i'm almost certain Floor must do some form of resistance training given the fact she has always looked in great shape and has displayed considerable muscle tone for the last 20 years. I was just curious wether she'd ever been specific about her workouts other than just confirming that she enjoys "working out" which i khave heard her state in several interviews.

Their best material was with the first 2 singer's , While Floor was in a band that couldn't get noticed. Nightwishs most watched video on RU-vid is of the previous singer Anette "Bye Bye Beautiful"... with millions of views... While all the videos from WACKEN don't add up to that number in views ... facts
