She GOT7 - Not By The Moon MV & Lyric Video 

Okay so I was editing this video and does this have a like Romeo & Juliet type thing happening?? Between the "swear not by the moon" quote (Juliet said this to Romeo) and the "poison" or whatever in the little bottle and Youngjae lying on top of a casket.... am I crazy or am I on to something?? 😳💚

Yes it’s a Romeo and Juliet storyline! That scene with Jackson and the two different groups of people on the either side of the thrown represent the feud between the Montegues and Capulets. Jinyoung was in the room with the balcony, making him Juliet. And Yugyeom has most of the scenes in the garden and was the closest to the balcony when they were all under it, making him Romeo. The vial placed on the moon stages was the poison that killed Romeo. The line “swear not by the moon” and the line directly after it that said “the moon is always changing” was actually taken directly from the play! It was when Juliet told Romeo “do not swear our love by the moon, for it is ever changing”. There were also many scenes that show the members in different situations that they have no power over, like the columns with the walls collapsing around them and the room that Mark was trapped in with the shadows of people on the walls, that many have speculated are the higher powers in each family, (Romeo and Juliet’s parents) that are watching and making sure they stay apart. The vials were actually also switched at some part in the video, giving people a bright ending, and one they did not expect. Thats how they remastered the story. That’s why when Yugyeom releases the bird near the end, it shows that the casket they were standing over was empty, Romeo never dies. (The bird symbolizes their light stick, their Ahgase, and the bird that has been in multiple videos in the past. It has journeyed with them through all their music videos, like we have journeyed with them) And the end is them leaving the show in the caravan, because the teaser showed that they were the ones that built the stage and the sets, they were the ones that remastered the story. JB said that this song and the Music Video was meant to show a different side of them, and who they are. Like he has said in the past, he actually enjoys having long hair and inherently “feminine” piercings and jewelry. This song was meant to show the side that not many people may like of them (or of men, more specifically, their more feminine side) but that they themselves have accepted is a part of them.

JB and Bambam’s hairstyle are just they want to and they found out is suit to this comeback so they didn’t change🤣

NO MORE KEEPING HIM FROM THIS ALBUM!! I'm wondering (cause I don't remember Eclipse video at all) based on only this video, vampires or werewolves? Cause in all old Dracula media, horse drawn wagon at high speed was how he traveled at night because he had to make it to a safe spot by daylight. Moons, night time etc are important for both but I would guess more vampire to go with the gothic looks they were surrounding themselves in and what they wore.

Reading other ppls comments, I gathered the story line is Got7 members are visiting thespian troupe performing Romeo and Juliet. The tent flaps unfolds and we are about to watch a Shakespearean performance! The members play parts of the story(you probably already read who played Romeo and Juliet). King Jackson sitting on his throne with the two divided family on opposite sides. We see the coffins and the poison bottles. Reference to the R&J to not swear by the moon as moon is constantly change unlike their love which is everlasting. Lot's of other references not going to mention all. In the end, after a glorious performance, the troupe packed up, got back on the wagon with their books( plays) in hand ready for the next performance!

You two should watch the concept trailers and the Not by by the moon trailers, the album has a theater concept, and the first teaser images had shakespeare quotes in them 🥰💕 this might be a storyline but i'll take it as a small thing too, because It. Is. Gorgeous! But yeah, you missed a part of the story by skipping the trailers :) CAN'T WAIT FOR THE ALBUM LISTEN! I'M SO INTO THIS ALBUM! It's based off Romeo and Juliet play by Shakespeare.The theory is they are a theater group. Traveling in the caravan.In the play Romeo says to Juliet he swears by the moon he loves her and she says don't swear by the moon the moon is always changing.Because she wants him to love her consistently.There was a King in R&J. The one scene with Jackson with the the two sides represents the two feuding families the Capulets and the Montagues.

This video is based on the romeo and Juliet story line and let me just write down what I've learnt so far and also read from other smart Ahgases...... so first off, they are in a tent which is located on a desert like scene and the tent also looks like a circus tent(like they want to do a performance) and then all 7 members are Romeos but in different times: Starting from Jinyoung meeting Juliet at the beginning, Jackson is in the family conflict, Bambam is imprisoned, Mark holds dead Juliet in his arms, Yugyeom is in the stormy night, JB takes the poison and Youngjae died. At the end of the video we can see them riding in a carriage which i think shows they were done performing and were leaving.

the last part is actually part of their cinema trailer when they are in horse carriage. Their concept is a ROMEO AND JULIET THEME. THE white ones in the balcony jinyoung represents Juliet and The black one (yugyeom) represents Romeo. "O swear not by the moon is in R&J act. no. 2 play. Thats why they are in a tent cause they are in a play or act. Jacksons part has white and black represents 2 opposite family of R&J.

I think that got7 are performances travelers playing R&J, bcs in DYE Cinema Trailer has an scene that they traveling to some where, and if u see the first teaser of the MV u can tell that the red tend is like a theater in side. Recommend u to watch the cinema trailer and the first teaser on your on. Summing up, the concept is R&J and the album represents well the story. And i believe is has a connection to Eclipse and YCMN.

If you listen to the whole album, it's like reading the story of Romeo & Juliet. Beginning with "Aura" at the dance party, and ended with "Poison". You can check the performance videos of "Aura" at dingo music channel, and "Poison" at Studio Choom channel.

Personally i think this is the best Got7 track to come along in a while...really catchy, like you said Anitra! Love Jb's hair...makes me miss Jungkook's long hair so much😭. And green is def one of your best colors girl!👍💚

Brian checking out at the end, "you can't stop me, and you can't stop me," was great. Loved this comeback, loved the whole album, which is a mini, hope you like the other songs as well. Also loved a singing melodic rap line! The titles seem to go in order of the Romeo and Juliet storyline. Loved the theme since it has given us different romantic outfits and pictures. I overused the are loved in this comment, sorry but I couldn't help it!

OMGosh I do hope you buy the physical album if not for the album-only-songs then for the physical album! It's a beautiful hardcover book that would look amazing to display anywhere (5 versions)!
