It's amazing how a lot of your patients seem to go to PT prior to coming to you and their PTs don't seem to be performing these simple ROM tests. Makes me wonder what their visits look like.
@jaredhathaway3442
@jaredhathaway3442 2 года назад
I was going to say this, these are basic MMTs and ROM tests that every PT should be able to do.
@daniels-mo9ol
@daniels-mo9ol 2 года назад
Most PTs are just frauds and in it for the $120/hr. I know because I had shoulder pain for 3 years straight, couldn't lift my arm by itself, and tried 3 different PTs during that time. I really didn't want surgery which them all ended up suggesting. One day I randomly found a video on RU-vid on push-up plus aka scapula push up, did one session by myself at home with 3 sets of 15 - and my pain was gone and my strength was back. I keep doing these as part of my warm up routine so the pain doesn't come back. I'm 100% sure doing your own research and trying RU-vid videos is much better. If they give out the information free online, they truly want to help and not milk their clients.

Bad PT’s. I’ve seen between 7-9 different ones in my life for 20 or so different issues and all have done measurable ROM tests on the first snd last session and sometimes in between

It’s a lot of massaging, stim, and heat. Which is only a quick fix and does nothing for the actual problem. I had 2 herniated disks, and a cracked vertebrae and I had to stop semi pro ball because of the consistent pain. The kettle bell hip shift and side plank clamshell have saved my life tbh.

@@joao_agulhari I've been suffering with a c curve in my back and number of mobility issues from my legs and hip all the way up to my shoulder and arms. Combinations/variations of what squat university allowed me to learn were the only things that works, specially since good physio instructions are hard to come by where I'm from. So, yes... They work, and they work well. Just pay attention to the muscles you're working out, joint movements and learn a bit about human anatomy and motor functions in your own time.

After watching your vids I’m convinced that most people who love to squat would benefit from your 3-4 exercises: KB hip shift, banded clamshells, airplanes, and single leg touch downs. I warm up with all of these before I do any leg exercise and my pain is almost non existent. This community thanks you !

Dude I’ve been dealing with elbow and wrist pain for almost 2 years. I’ve tried everything. I took two months off, I avoid push-ups which are my favorite exercise but the exercise that hurts me the most (like 10/10 pain) I’ve tried ice, heat, therabands, flexbar, self myofascial release. I’ve tried it all. I honestly don’t know what else can be done. Maybe I permanently messed myself up to the point where I will no longer be able to do things like push-ups and handstands and front levers and planche ever again. Feels bad man. Feels really bad.

The only way to strengthen your joints is to strengthen the muscles surrounding it. Try bar hanging for 5-10 mins spread through the day. Try squeezing those 20kg rings, pinching them. I had wrist pains and couldn't do push ups now I do 20 of them with 20kg vest on. I do get a slight discomfort but no pain anymore. I've made my wrists stronger 💪 Also hyper long dynamic and static stretching routine

It's absolutely mind blowing to me how many PTs either forget or skip hip rotation ROM and strength. I mean you'd pretty much be fired as a PT if you didn't check shoulder rotation on someone with shoulder pain. So why do most skip hip rotation?

I cannot get it to stop without “too many” pain meds and muscle relaxers and even then it’s debilitating if I have to get up to go pee or something.
