I don't get why the teachers can't make other kids leave when it comes to the safety shower 😭 I really don't want to strip down to my undergarments in front of the entire class, nor would I even want my body being shown to a bunch of rude and hornornal teens
@@kaichi6578kinda yeah it's to get potentially harmful chemicals off of you, they're in majority of science classes I never knew you had to take majority of ur clothes off though 😟
@@kaichi6578 yeah the safety shower is sprints the chemicals off and half the time they haven’t been used in forever so they want you to take your clothes off and then you have to wait until they bring you a towel and half the time you put your clothes on even though you’re dripping wet
I don't know why this made me think of an incident in 7th grade chemistry: teacher gave each group the same mysterious red powder, the idea being to do all the standard chemical tests and figure out what it is. One stupid kid eats some of it. So the teacher stopped everyone: "OK, I wanted you to do litmus tests, reaction tests, etc. Never eat anything in this lab if you don't know what it is! Luckily for you, this time it was only Kool-aid. But don't do that again!"
And that is why some kids shouldn't be scientists 😂 I've seen a kid do so many dumb things (as a high-school student) with genuinely dangerous substances, in science classes
@@juggernautcz5368you’re making 0 sense. if someone has to use the shower AND TAKE OFF THEIR CLOTHES it makes sense for the students to stand in the hall instead of remaining in the classroom.
@@reever_r It takes time for the class to get up and leave. That's what they mean. Not every substance is that bad but if it were a choice between stripping im front of people and getting burned while I wait for them to leave, I know what I'm picking. But also they should be filing out at the same time
Most of my schools obly had the kind you put in your eyes and the 3 times ive seen an actual shower they didnt have curtains😅 Never seen them used but once when the teacher stepped out someone pulled it and the water was BROWN 😭

They actually have a curtain around it to provide privacy while the person uses the safety shower and paper clothes to wear afterwards but this is a skit
@@scoutharris8586 curtains?? I've been out of school for a bit cause summer but I don't remember seeing any curtains in the science rooms I've been in (I might just be remembering wrong though)
@@Mansihearts they're usually blue and tucked away. Also, this is how it usually is in a college lab, so certain emergency showers might be lacking. But those are the legal safety guidelines. Curtains and paper clothes for after

Our emergency shower isn’t even in the classroom it’s in the back room where the child has privacy cause striping down in front of other kids is sexual harassment
If I had to do that, I would sue because half the time the showers haven’t been used in years and especially the fact of the class just stood there and watched
Yeah it’s a thing because if it is actually a danger to you, you have to do whatever is necessary to protect yourself even if that means taking off your clothes which really sucks but my teachers always told us it’s better than having your skin melted off
Schools are so stupid. Children no matter what age shouldn’t have to strip and take a shower infront of others and idk abt everyone else but in my opinion I would feel very uncomfortable having to take off my shirt like that in front of everyone especially in these generations…
I think the schools more concerned with you getting physically burned from the chemicals, and taking off the clothes slacked in the chemical is probably the fastest way to ensure she doesn’t get too injured. I do agree that there should definitely be more privacy with it.
Ummm what nooo why would she have to take her shirt off I would like nope I’m good I’m not going to expose my naked body to everyone especially since they are minors and even the teacher is there 💀💀
