SHE IS BREATHTAKING!! Lara Fabian - Broken Vow (Reaction) (MMM Series) 

The music of Broken Vow was co-composed by Walter Afanassiev and Lara Fabian. Walter Afanassiev, an american/brazilian from russian descent, is a legendary composer and producer (he composed some of the greatest initial hits of Mariah Carey such as All I Want for Christmas is You or Hero and was the producer of the Titanic soundtrack that brought Celine Dion to WW fame). He is also now the producer of Dimash for his US career. When this song was composed, Walter and Lara were engaged, they were living in San Francisco’s bay area, but apparently he cheated and she decided to break up. When she took this decision, that she knew would dramatically change both her personal and professional destiny, she wrote these incredible lyrics. Lara has said this is her preferred english song from all the songs she wrote in this language (there are many, and some are pure jewels). One reason is also because this song has then been covered by the greatests: - Barbra Streisand (she performed it in concerts from one of her tour but never recorded it), - Josh Groban (his cover made this song famous in US, she is her friend and role model and he made several duets with her), - Linda Eder, - Cakra Khan, - Gigi de Lana, - Regine Velasquez, - Almira (from 4th Impact), - Katrina Velarde, - Julie Anne San Jose, - Sarah Geronimo, - Morissette Amon, - Petra Berger, - Harrison Craig, - Rimar, - Jackie Evancho, - … For Jackie Evancho, and at the request of Jackie's parents who found the original lyrics were not a good fit for a young girl, Lara rewrote Broken Vow in french as "Imaginer" with a complete different meaning. I watched the entire From Lara with Love special on RU-vid yesterday. It is a tour de force, from poppy dance songs, to a cover of White Christmas, to the gut wrenching emotional performances it is truly unbelievable. History of this show produced in Montréal late 90's by Sony Music and Lara Fabian's Team. It was supposed to be air on PBS nationally 90 minutes TV special to promote the next voice of Sony Music who had signed her for 2 albums. BUT..... Céline Dion's Team did not liked it and put pressure on Sony Music to not promote her or else..... so it was never showed in the USA or anywhere.... Of this album with no radio play , also supposely blocked by Céline"s group she still sold 3 million albums and went back to Europe broken hearted... About 15 years ago Lara's Team decided to release this show on the web.... Her second album with Sony has many big songs from Lara, again never release in the USA only in Canada and Europe....bunch of A Hole...This story alone would make a great movie.
