O wow, can hear the crackle of the track. Brings me back to my childhood. Hanging out with Grandpa, poolside, chain smoking Salem 100’s. Good times. Thanks for the upload.
Lyrics Crack of dawn i hit the road Set my shoulders for the heavy load Coffee leakin Through the paper sack The foreman says I'm late again He can't stand it when i only grin He's got me eight hours She's got me after that I can't wait til it's quittin time She got somethin cookin for me tonight Chorus She keeps the home fires burning While I'm out earnin a livin in a world That's known for it's pourin rain She keeps the home fires burning Ooh and it's her warm lovin That keeps me returnin again And again Out of gas just my luck Four bald tires on my pickup truck No more credit on my credit card When i come home and hit that door I remember what these achin arms are for She's my one light when the world goes dark Tomorrow it's the same old grind But she'll be burnin in my mind Chorus She Keeps the home fires burning While i'm out earnin a livin in a world that's known for it's pourin rain She keeps the home fires burning Ooh and it's her warm lovin That keeps me returnin again She keeps the home fires burning Ooh and it's her warm lovin That Keeps me returnin again (Home fires burning) While I'm out earnin a livin in a world That's known for it's pourin rain She keeps the home fires burning Ooh and it's her warm lovin That keeps me returnin again She keeps the home fires burning While I'm out earnin a livin in a world That's known for it's pourin rain
A man goes to a hard day's work at the crack of dawn, and sets his shoulders for the heavy load. The man goes to a drive-thru to get a cup of coffee, but the coffee was leaking through the paper bag. The foreman said that he was late for work, but the man couldn't stand when he only grins, he works for eight hours, and the woman got him after that. The man couldn't wait until he comes home from work, the woman wanted the man something for dinner. As the man ran out of gas, he had four bald tires on his pickup truck, and there was no credit on his credit card. When the man came home, he remembers what his aching arms are for; the man was the woman's one life when the world went dark. By the end of the song, the next day was the same old grind, and the woman burns in the man's mind, because she's thinking about her.
@@prettyandpunk21 Probably because it wasn't on a album with New material, The song was released on a Greatest Hits albums, which normally Streaming platforms don't put Greatest Hits albums on there because the songs are already on there from the original album .
I've heard it's because of the world we live in today has canceled it because it makes it seem like the woman is post to be a house wife and not work which is some bs
