@@brandaljimenez7479it really is, improv is really hard, you need experience listening to and making music of the same genre to be able to make that sort of contextual sound and know what goes where, all while doing it being chased down by a green bar is difficult and requires so much skill. Edit: a point I forgot to add is you need to be able to predict the sound and play the song ahead of time to see what sounds good before you even hear it, it requires incredible memory, pattern recognition, prediction, musicality and muscle memory too. If you’re just using patterns to make a song it will sound overused, and what you really want is something new, and copying patterns from someone else just takes that “I created this” feel away. In fact, have you ever heard of one big song that didn’t sound new to you, similar to its relatives of the genre. Hearing music that you haven’t heard before boosts that dopamine you get from the music alone.
