"My story can be easily summarized by the phrase "from suicidal to service." After spending many years suicidal and surviving a medical death by hanging, I began a long uphill climb of healing which inevitably lead me back to my relationship with death. I now work as a death doula and death educator and am passionate about cultivating "right relationship" with death and helping others do the same." - Caili Danieu
This is a very honest and raw story about surviving suicide, finding purpose and her journey with death... literally. Caili who tried to take her own life by hanging herself and medically died. She was brought back to life and decided not to take life for granted. Her path now is a death doula, life coach, speaker and has found an incredible new purpose in life. This is a powerful story with honest vulnerability and makes you rethink being grateful for this life that we have.

DEAD Talks with David Ferrugio engages death a little bit differently. Each new guest shares their experience with grieving or perspective on death in a way that shatters the “don’t talk about death” taboo. Grief doesn't end, it evolves. Having lost his father on September 11th when he was 12 he learned the importance of discussion and sharing other people's stories. Grief, loss, death, mourning, trauma or whatever it may be, DEAD Talks Podcast hopes to make it a little easier to talk about. You may cry; but, you also may laugh.

A lot of the problem is in modern society were brought up to run away from death and we really need to turn around, facing and run towards it. It’s the second most important moment in your life and the first is being born and it’s just a transformation process. I don’t understand why everybody’s so scared of it. What would terrify me is living forever in this human suit. I understand not wanting to have a painful death or some thing similar but it’s gonna happen no matter what when it dies and when mine comes my last breath, I’m gonna give it to that he deserves it more than I do.
@kateashby3066
@kateashby3066 Год назад
I’m right there with you! But that’s also because I know we don’t cease to exist when we die. The fact is, the human brain is wired to survive at any cost, so fear of dying is natural.
@timmokwa1868

@@kateashby3066 I think the brain knows that dying is a natural process and how to transform the knowledge he gained so you take it with you. I 100% agree with you that, even though it’s a natural process, the body is wired to protect itself from any sort of pain or damage. At the same time, it knows how to create cancer cells, which is kind of a counter intuitive. Notice you never really hear about people until about the 1940s and 50s getting cancer on a regular basis it seems like?

I don’t think I’m in “denial” or “shocked” when it comes to death. I know it’s inevitable. We are all going to die. The thing that scares me is the HOW. Am I going to die comfortably in my sleep as an old lady? Or am I going to pass away suddenly from a heart attack? Car wreck? So many scenarios pop into my head. I also just turned 29, but I’ve battled with death and fearing it since I was a kid. I remember I’d get so anxious and start crying and it just felt like this impending doom because I knew one day I was going to die.

I have two things I’d like to share if you’re open to them. 1) follow podcasts that focus on the near death experience (Jeff Mara has done hundreds of them). I’ve had one myself and there is nothing to fear. Frankly, I’m excited to go back. 2) I’ve noticed a common thread in MANY NDE’s and people who have had past life regressions too. Let me use one example. A woman was in a car accident and right before impact, everything went into slow motion mode and she popped out of her body to see the impact. Again- BEFORE impact, not after. That may sound terrifying but it was the opposite. She didn’t realize what happened at first because when we leave our body it happens FAST and consciousness just keeps going. So she had to take a moment to process what she was looking at. That’s when she realized she was pulled out of body BEFORE impact happened to save her from it and she was looking down at her own accident. She obviously came back hence how I heard her story, but my point is, there is literally nothing scary about dying, and this has happened to MANY people in situations where they would otherwise suffer. It’s like taking off a somewhat tight and painful shoe that you’ve been wearing all day. Or if you’re a woman, like taking off your underwire bra 😂. It feels so free and good and frankly it’s euphoric. So no pain because we are spared that, and only bliss. Please don’t let this fear stop you from making the most out of each day ❤

I don’t know if this is any comfort but we never really die, ourselves. It’s always something that is in the future but by the time we get there we are already gone. Whether you are 5 minutes from death or 5 decades, it’s never here and now. You will be as alive in your last moments and you are now. It’s always sort of an abstraction. We will never experience being dead.
@shaan702
@shaan702 Год назад
Also dying eventually saves us from fates worse than that. I don’t know if you’ve seen Black Mirror but there is an episode where this guy has his mind uploaded on to a computer and is forced to experience millennia upon millennia of torture for a crime he committed. I can’t imagine a fate worse than being tortured for an infinite amount with no means of escape or the ability to even fall asleep. The inevitability of death protects us from these types of horrendous outcomes.

Since she and I are on the same page with spirituality, I’m gunna go ahead and say it (just my opinion)… This entire story was pre-destined just like mine was (and everyone’s is). Some people never get on their path, which is fine because we have many lives to get it right, but this woman was not only supposed to become a death doula, but she needed those suicidal experiences to get her here. Without them, she’d be following a totally different path today. This is why she couldn’t successfully end her life after trying SO many times. Meanwhile, some others do not experience that level of resistance. She is an old soul. These types select very challenging paths so they can transmute the pain into healing for others (after they heal themselves). Really cool story. Thank you for sharing ❤

I've tried to hang myself also multiple times. That feeling of just not wanting to be here anymore and done trying to wake up to a better tomorrow I've been there. Went to a psychiatrist got prescribed Xanax bars and would get 21 a month and one night kissed my daughter goodnight and my ex went to the store to get a bottle of wine and the second she left it was like something changed in my head. A wave of depression came over me. We already had a bottle of wine in the fridge and I was like welp I don't wanna do this sober. So I chugged a bottle of wine and then took my belt and put it through the lock for our closet door that was at the top and then put on some music from my phone and did it. Everything slowly started going dark, the pressure of feeling the tightness from the belt not letting up. And then my ex came in and got me down, and then I ended up sleeping out on the couch and that's all I thought about was I just wanted to finish this. And she took my belt so I couldn't use that anymore so I remembered that I had my bottle of Xanax and I remembered we had a mason jar full of apple pie moonshine store bought. And I was just thinking if I'm gonna do this I'm gonna do it right so I poured it out in my hand and started downing them with moonshine and then finished that too. And I'm not really a drinker, the moonshine was suppose to be for Christmas coming up. But with in like 5 mins or so I was out and I remember waking up the next day... Like wtf howwww like it's something I think about all the time, I weighted around 130ish at that time and then went to the drs a couple years later and told me I have marfans disease it's a connective tissue disease and told me people with that has a really really fast metabolism and I believe that played a huge part in why I'm still here... And from marfans disease it gave me restrictive lung disease to where I'm on supplimental oxygen and an aortic root aneurysm in my heart. Sometimes I feel like life isn't real, at least from what I went through. I always used to pray to God when I was younger to just take me cause of how depressed I was. But instead he's like "how about, I see your depression and raise you marfans disease" I'm only 31, and Mike Tyson once said, "being favored by God means you're also being favored by the devil, he's coming for you too but who side are you gonna stay on, you stay with the person who brought you here, you go home with the guy who brought you to the dance, remember God loves you but so does he, it's a war"

We have many exit points in life. None of those you mention here were any of them, hence why you were spared, and so was the woman in the video. I’ve been in and out of institutions myself at a young age so I am right there with you both. All the therapy and drugs didn’t make the pain go away. I am so disgusted at how doctors used to be able to throw Xanax and opioids at us willy nilly and some still do. Like, they’re perfect for ending yourself ☠️, why would you give that to a suicidal patient? 🤦🏻‍♀️ anyway… like the woman in the video, I didn’t get better until I tried something different. Spirituality. It’s amazing how when I’m practicing it daily, the depression and suicidal ideation doesn’t touch me. But my psychiatrist wants me to believe that I have a bunch of chemical imbalances. I’m off any meds and have been flying high for a while now. By the way, I met Tyson once- and I believe he gets what I’m about to say because we ran in the same group. For people like you and me and the woman above, our “mental illness” serves a deep purpose. We are meant to transmute it into helping others. The more darkness one has in their life, the brighter it is on the other side of it. The trick is getting to the other side, and not everyone makes it (I lost a dear friend to suicide and it’s a leading cause of death in America). I finally got off the crazy train at age 31 and held on tight while I went through a lot of shadow work. That was 12 years ago and I’m nothing like I once was. I quit drinking and using heavy drugs to numb out daily, I went back to college and I’m wrapping up a graduate program now, I graduated with honors, won a scholarship, and in 4 months I’ll officially be an art teacher, something I always wanted to do but was too TERRIFIED to do in my 20’s (public speaking? I’d rather die lol). So my pain was necessary to force me to get onto my path. We know we are on our path because doors stop slamming shut and start opening left and right to make shit happen for us. Plus it FEELS right. 🙏

Yes, we all die physically but we can live eternally when we put our faith completely in Jesus Christ and there are no strings attached anymore (like there were when salvation was only offered to Jews and Greeks) - and our gospel of salvation is the free gift of Ephesians 2:8&9 KJV.

@@kateashby3066 It's your right to believe that if you want to but God will respect the free will he gave his creation and that means he will respect the choices that we made in regards to his Son, Jesus Christ. “Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.” Or, as the ESV puts it, “Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.” The same teaching is found in Luke 12:4-5. If Jesus was hated, His followers will be, too. People label Christians today as hateful, bigoted, rigid, and more for their stance on cultural issues that touch morality. And the gospel itself is offensive and foolish to some (1 Corinthians 1:18-21; Galatians 5:11). This helps us embrace Jesus’ command not to fear those who can kill the body.

I need all of you to look at this understand this. I go with a group of people to methadone clinic a lot of these people have died and been resuscitated at least once up too many times because the fentanyl in my area. Some people even with three or four or six norkan shots some people still are not being able to be resuscitated on he's a super opiates that have been being brought in her straight to the China to the Mexico crossy open border here in United States. I myself have studied the Paranormal my whole life I was an atheist and I moved into a house with people used to do devil worship and me and my family found that you don't have to believe anything, because evil don't need you to believe and it can believe in you just fine. And that was hell it was so hard to get rid of that evil. Some people that whole lives are Kirsten haunted by demons evil spirits to pick up in odd places. When you cross over to the other side you will see where you're at there sometimes you see it looking differently eventually you'll end up there in a black void is huge black avoid you're going to notice that first you going to nurse first you can see 360° around you in front and back of you decides you all at once your vision is permanently change like that. You get downloads an automatic information from God apparently, you'll see religious figures that you probably didn't think we're alive but that's the Fifth Dimension so things are very different there and yes Jesus is there and yes he is a huge amount of power I mean I didn't really believe the stuff but look at there is happening everybody seen it thousands of people all right. You get a huge of information and knowledge about people just as soon as you look at them ass like you get a download there's so many weird things there. And there's a scientist guy he's kind of author named Billy Carson he just the other day said there are up to eleven Dimensions that keep the universe from collapsing in on itself and he said it in the next Dimension there's no time and space, this is what people who've been resuscitated from Death often say that there are no regular time or space over there it's completely different. Then the visual thing that they can see completely around them. They know everything about everybody soon as they look at him like you can see people's past and future and stuff cuz over there the past and the future and present are all happening at once I don't know how to explain that I can barely understand that but that's what people say about the next Dimension and as also what people say about and when you die you leave your body you end up going over there first with the call the void which is a huge black space but mostly the light comes to you only cuz we can't understand what we're looking at but because these things can they're made out of energy the next Dimension is like a concentrated energy beings and apparently some of these people come and go visit a monsters that people see with red glowing eyes or whatever color glowing eyes eyes that don't reflect electrical Lowell people seen Bigfoot all these abominable monsters that's real that's people seeing multi-dimensional beings and like I said we cannot understand the structure of what they look like so typically we see whatever horofix thing that amalgam eyes is from their looks or whatever they they make themselves look like he's eating beans are called shapeshifters are dead people are the exact same cuz if shifted over to that size side of the dimension hello to come back and forth and interact with us or interact with our house or a property do a little pocket Dimension that they make trying to live on away from their families go staying around and try to stick around for the families who live in a certain place 10 and become vampire can start feeding off energy from living people they start to change and become a negative Spirit overtime basically, like a human demon sometimes. Most human souls are just creepy from demons give you a stream feeling of Doom and horror that is just a special thing for them and then there are different that you might or might not even notice. So many beans do come and take people it said that the greys and lie these other aliens are not actually solid beings neither are there UFO's that's why the UFOs have been seen changing size or exploding into pieces and then reassembling down the road just doing all sorts of weird things that we cannot understand that's because these things come from a completely different dimension than us we would have no idea what the hell we're looking at if we could actually see them the way they are it's so bizarre sometimes people see these monsters and it looks so extremely bizarre that it makes people go insane
