Episode 109 with Hospice Nurse Hadley tells the end-of-life stories of her Hospice patients that include seeing their deceased loved ones. Hadley also speaks on how a significant death she had to grieve in her life inspired the rest of her life and how this event completely shifted her religious beliefs. She just released her first book "The In-Between" which shows that end-of-life care can teach us as much about how to life as it does about how we die. ‪@NurseHadley‬ shares amazing End-Of-Life Stories From Hospice on this really fun episode of DEAD Talks.

DEAD Talks with David Ferrugio engages death a little bit differently. Each new guest shares their experience with grieving or perspective on death in a way that shatters the “don’t talk about death” taboo. Grief doesn't end, it evolves. Having lost his father on September 11th when he was 12 he learned the importance of discussion and sharing other people's stories. Grief, loss, death, mourning, trauma or whatever it may be, DEAD Talks Podcast hopes to make it a little easier to talk about. You may cry; but, you also may laugh.

My mom died but she always said she would come back as a dolfin and after we put her ashes in the ocean we all stood there for a few minutes looking at the water and all of sudden a dolfin jumped out of the water and then back in the water , after going to pismo beach for all my life that was the only time we ever seen a dolfin there we took it as a sign!

I was a geriatric nurse for 30 years. I’ve seen end of life spiritual things quite a few times. The dying really DO see their loved ones come for them.

My 84yo father lay quietly dying, his faded watery old blue eyes closed, at his last breath his eyes opened and they had turned brilliant sky blue!! Vibrant rich deep blue. He looked past me weakly pointed at SOMETHING in cnr of room then exhaled and was gone. No medical reason for this phenomena. My Dad saw.

My father, after being unresponsive for days, suddenly sat straight up in bed and cried out “Dad!” He did that a couple of times while staring past me. My grandfather died at 47. My dad was only 13 when he lost his Dad. I am convinced that he saw his father waiting to take him home. If he had called for his mother, I wouldn’t have thought anything about it since she raised him. Knowing he was seeing his father for the first time in 58 years made my faith in God, my belief that our souls go on after death, much stronger. He was moved into hospice and passed quietly within about 6-9 hours. I have always believed in God, but like many people I had doubts about an afterlife, heaven and/or hell. I don’t have that doubt anymore.

I took care of my Mother who had Alzheimers for several years. About 10 months after I was broken mentally & physically I put her in nursing. She had asked me to put her in there for the last few years so I could have a life again. I told her I wouldn't until she no longer knew me or knew where she was. I kept my promise by 10 months. Anyway that entire time my Mom didn't know me or anyone while I was caring for her or while she was in nursing. She had a stroke after being in nursing for about a year and a half. I stayed at the hospital the entire time she was there, 3 days. One morning I was feeding her and her eyes were bright blue and she looked at me and said "Darling I sure love you". Then immediately her eyes went back to what they had been the previous two years & a half. She passed away 3 weeks later. I guess she was telling me goodbye.

Same happened with my dad age 82. He told me his deceased mother and dog dachshund name Gator came to him and told him she will be back. He was under hospice 9 months later and his body shut down and when he took his last breath he sat up and his eyes were so clear and blue again. Smiled and passed. I had a dream so real a year later of him in paradise and looked to be 30 years old. He was so happy.

My mother 86 died 7 years ago. She was very ill and was disoriented due to sepsis infection which killed her. In hospital for 10 weeks, one day she looked over and saw in the corner of the ward her late brother-in-law who had died in the 1960’s - 58 years ago. She wouldn’t have mentioned him in 30 years, and even then, rarely. He was a good kind man. That’s who she saw. Inexplicable.

I am so happy that myself and our family were with mom , when she was dying many people spoke and sang to her. It was an amazing send off. After mom died my son sat with her . He didn't want her alone . And the body was picked up. Mom was surely loved and honored and we made sure she knew it. Plus I honor my son who sat with her for an hour.😢❤

When my aunt was dying on her death bed and was surrounded by my mother and grandmother and my aunts brother my aunt was no longer responding to others. On the forth day she suddenly opened her eyes and turned and looked at the people that where there around her bed and said I hear music. Beautiful music. Oh it’s so beautiful. Then she said Buddy’s here. He’s here to take me. Buddy was a man she was deeply in love with when she was young. Buddy died of a drug overdose. My aunt then laid back and took one last breath and was gone. My aunt died from breast cancer

I was a hospice nurse. Before About 3 months prior, to my sister's death, she was awake and told several people to leave her alone. She yelled at them. I saw nothing so I asked her what I did and should I leave. I thought she was talking to me. We were alone in her bedroom. She told me , no it's them they are back on the ceiling again. She said she did not know them. Towards the end of her life she kept telling me she saw a little girl and she was next to her on her pillow. She was awake for her sighting. Very normal for me. I told her don't be afraid, they are here to help you. Trust in God. The day she crossed over to our Lord, she was peaceful and calm.

Thank you for sharing this talk. Your questions were thoughtful and well-framed. Questions I would want to ask. I’ve lost both my parents (at 62 and 72 respectively) and two of my three brothers (too young at 49 and 52). I am only 56. The losses are piercing and many times I feel so alone. But..they are with me every day and I talk to them. And, yes, they occasionally visit me in my sleep. It never scares me and many times gives me a sense of peace. My most active after death connection is with my grandmother who died in 2003. For several years after her passing, we would visit in my dreams. I almost always prefaced the start of our talks with “you know, grandma, you are dead” to which she would calmly and sweetly reply “yes, honey, I know”. It wasn’t upsetting at all. She was my rock here and on the other side. I look forward to feeling the warmth of her hug again and reuniting with my brothers.

My other half passed last year while sedated and on a ventilator. While I talked to him all the time I really pray that he was seeing and conversing with his beloved relatives and siblings that had passed before him. So hard not to be able to communitcate with your loved one when they are in that situation. I am grateful that we told each other how much we loved one another on a daily basis, because I would be more broken than I already am if we had not said that daily to each other. Say it now people because you may not be able to in the future! Thank you so much for your podcasts and your thoughtful guests. They remind me how much more there is than what our eyes see.

I listen to a couple of hospice nurses on YT. Their anecdotes are very similar, comforting. To be clear, my faith, hope, is in Jesus Christ. Jesus spoke about Paradise on the cross to the thief executed next to him. Luke 23:43. These stories as presented are "universalist" meaning all roads lead to heaven. There are many deceptions in these last days -- the greatest of which is that Satan has convinced most he doesn't exist. Media especially wants to promote that Jesus isn't necessary for the afterlife, contrary to scripture. And we know Satan can appear as an angel of light per scripture. My point is to enjoy these comforting videos, but don't lose sight of the fact that one day (very soon) every knee WILL bow and confess that Jesus is Lord.

Hello, I know your MS is not curable but what you've done with with this MS is wonderful. I have a huge question, my son Justin has been diagnosed with Glioblastoma, giving A YR.😢 He has entered month 10. In September he had a clinical trial nano tec with peptides. Doc said it shrunk a good amount, it will buy him time.I have thought about your illness many times in the last 10 mos. Would you have any advice for us that might, I know this tumor is very aggressive and deadly but I won't any of use give up. Thank you for reading this letter from a heartsick mom that can no longer fix it with a band-aid. Thank you...Robin

@robincivitelli4473 have a look at Joe Dispenza foundation course & retreats. People with cancers remissing checked by scans using a profound meditation emotional process that university of California medical staff are studying using pharmaceutical like science research processes. Basically there is a part of our brain that can access source intelligence from the universe to self heal but there has to be both open belief in possibility & heart to brain alignment emotionally. A healing level of consciousness. So that's worth looking into asap. The testimonials are online

I feel like the "surge of energy" dying people get is the Universe giving them energy for one last wish. Maybe they want to go for a walk outside one last time, or get up and eat ice cream, or see their family one last time. To make them happy before passing on.

Excellent discussion. Glad to hear you ask her about the hellish experiences, even though she really didn't have any (which is a good thing I think!) I do wonder whether her Hospice coworkers and her have had "hauntings", and what her interpretation of that is if everyone she's had die around her "cross over" to somewhere else. That seems to be separate from earthbounds; if that's even a thing, although some people say the Relatives that visit every now and again are from "Heaven" which coincides with people seeing their loved ones before they die. But "hauntings" appear to be different, whether it's someone lost or confused, or a remnant of their ego as their id (or vice versa) cross over. I have a hard time reconciling tge lost and confused scenario with some grand god/guardian angel scheme that people are "picked up" and transported somewhere else...How do you miss a "ship" when those in control are in control of all reality? Are they on a sick day and just leave someone to their own devices in limbo?

So my mothers death was unexpected though she had signs that we had not picked up, started watching hospice and especially near death visions and just as if guided to do this as my father was given a terminal condition that he is being treated immunetherapy and it is prolonging his cancer, but my health as well, so don't know. But my brother shared that an aunt who was home at least until just prior to death and she kept asking her daughter to find her father, he was just here, so get him for me. He had passed over a decade ago. So told him this was normal, was really happy he shared. Think my cousin thought her mother was becoming delusional, but told him this was normal, that a majority who can express that loved ones come to get them, do.

John 3:1-8 Now there was a Pharisee, a man named Nicodemus who was a member of the Jewish ruling council. 2 He came to Jesus at night and said, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the signs you are doing if God were not with him.” 3 Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.[a]” 4 “How can someone be born when they are old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!” 5 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit[b] gives birth to spirit. 7 You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You[c] must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”[d]

Testiminy at end. For God so loved the world He gave His only begotten Son that all who believe in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Jesus is the resurrection, the way, the Truth and the Life. It is appointed once for man to die and after that the judgement. Believe in Jesus whose actions show He loves you ❤ I only found the truth after being hit by a bus, i left my body and was wandering in the dull streets, no one could see me. Suddenly i was back in my body and a beautiful strong man dressed in blue held me, he knew my name and spoke kindly to me. When i gained consciousness strapped to the body board in the back of the ambulance I said ask the paramedic in blue who held me... cctv shows there was no one there, and the paramedics wore green. That was an actual Angel 🕊🔥🙏 glory to God, He knew I would later give my life to Jesus so saved me.

Hi, I follow her closely and posted below question to her instagram Any response will be much appreciated 🙏 My dad passed away suddenly at an age of 59 due to cardiac arrest in 2021😢. That morning he saw a group of muslim men in his room asking him to come with them to a near by city and he was very scared (he woke my mum to tell her that these ppl are here) He was hindu and he didn’t have any muslim friends or connection. Do you know why it could be like this? What does it mean? Any reply will be much appreciated 🙏 Thanks in advance

I’m not Christian. I don’t know what I am. But I do have a sense of the beyond. I’ve experienced the supernatural. I think we all have the ability to sense it, but so many of us are taught to ignore it or that it’s not real, and so we give in to that, because it’s easier. As we approach death ourselves, our ability to keep ignoring the supernatural weakens and allows us to see what’s really around and there waiting.

The death of a loved one is got to be a horrible experience, especially if it’s a child or a close friend, but I find it interesting that a lot of people that claim to be Christians now this lady is not claiming to be a Christian which I think it’s a very important point because there’s a distinction, but there’s a lot of people that claim to have gone to church all their life and then when something bad happens, they get all confused. They clearly haven’t been taught the gospel that we live in a fallen world. God doesn’t cause these bad things happen but because we live in a fallen world sin into the world through Adam and Eve and horrible things happen unfortunately it will be set one day when Jesus returns. There will be no more pain no more suffering everyone will be in perfect health, those that believe in Christ, but there are millions of people that go to church on a regular basis that are not destined for heaven going to church doesn’t make you a Christian more than standing in your garage makes you a car the gospel meaning the good news is that God came down to earth and human form as Jesus Christ over 2000 years ago, and he was killed and died on the cross as the final sacrifice for our sins. It says in the Bible, that anyone who believes in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life Jesus claim to be God, no doubt, Mohammed did not claim to be God did not claim to God all these others did not claim to God Jesus did though further he backed it up by rising from the dead 500 witnesses saw him three days after he was killed they saw him in different parts of the country at different times and interacted with him and talk to him. You know the story of Thomas Thomas said I won’t believe it unless I can put my hands in his holes in his arms and I can touch him and Jesus appeared to Tomas and said here here you go Tomas. We cannot work our way to heaven by doing good works or being good. It’s not a matter of doing more good than evil and that gets you to heaven. It’s a flat out belief and trust in Jesus Christ is your Lord and savior. follow him follow his teaching his best you can. We will all screw up no doubt everyone on this earth is born a sinner. No one person is better than any other person. Jesus offers us a free free gift. All we have to do is accept it. It’s so simple. A child can understand it but so many people want to reject it in their pride saying they don’t need a savior More these days, we are seeing evidences of the spiritual realm with all this UAPUFO stuff. Skinwalker Ranch were starting to see the spiritual realm bleeding over. This is what the Bible says will happen in the end times I hope to see every person and day God bless you all, finally, I would say just pray directly to Jesus ask him to forgive you of your sin. Ask him to be the Lord and Savior ask him to come into your heart. You don’t need a priest. You don’t need to go to a church and this is not about religion is not about being ritualistic. That process of accepting Christ is referred to as being saved or born again once you are saved, it would be good to go see community and a good local Bible believing church look at their statement beliefs on their website and make sure they believe that Jesus is God. they’re all different. Kind of out there from very contemporary to very reference but stay away from the Cults like Jehovah witness Mormonism or anything that’s going to excommunicate you and keep you away from your friends or family. If you don’t believe what they believe. That right there is not Christlike.

Believe means to be persuaded or convinced Salvation To believe in Jesus Christ, is to believe he is the Christ (Messiah) and that he guarantees everlasting life to all that believe in him New King James Version 1 John 5:1 Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 6:47 Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life. Once Saved Always Saved John 6:37 All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.

Only thing about nurse Hadley is she only talks about patients seeing deceased loved ones. This misrepresents things and makes it seem like all or majority of patients see their deceased loved ones. Other hospice nurses have said patients will sometimes see a person that is not dead but is not there like they are a loved one still alive and just in their home city across country. Also hospice nurses say patients will see flowers, a garden, random people or kids, angels, Jesus, a train, or a bus… so it’s really actually a lot of things/people that patients claim to see. It’s not just deceased loved ones that patients see. If hospice nurses who use their platform to talk about deathbed visions would talk more about things/people see and not just the deceased loved ones, I don’t think that so many people would believe this means anything as far as an afterlife. I don’t know if deathbed visions are real or not but I know patients don’t only see deceased loved ones.

It isn’t “God’s will” that people die. We live in a fallen world and in mortal bodies. Had we not sinned in Eden we would not have these experiences of death. Because we have free will, and the world is not our home, we are at the hand of the ruler of this earth, satan. Bad things happen. People die. God is still on the throne and loves and carries us through the heartbreak until we can be with our loved ones again. It has taken me years of grief through many traumatic losses to come to this realization and I hope someone is able to turn their hope back to Jesus with this understanding. We can choose to stay mad and blame God or we can look forward to our life in the eternal and be grateful for the time we were given.

Its just another discovery or series of knowledge of assisting the living and the dying. The army dies in a completely different way--it has a massive effect on the care givers a whole different experience --ukraine emergency room ---

Maybe you were told but you couldn't process it. Your friend died because we live in a fallen world. We are all subject to death no matter what, but we just die in different ways. Satan brought death into mankind not God. God made a way to defeat death through Jesus Christ. After death we either go to the presence of God orvto hell. You need to talk about that.
