My grandma's mom is from bahawalpur Pakistan.she came to india during partition when she was 15 years old. Grandma use to tell us about her childhood there.i wish she could go there atleast once but it is not possible.

My grandfather was freedom fighter, he lived in Chittagong (now in Bengladesh) .. he was deeply connected with his land.. he always mourns about the partition... He vividly remembered how in one night his muslim neighbours threaded him to leave... He was noble person...
My moms grandmother also came to Pakistan from india a sikh helped her she was very small so he made her stay in his house for a long time she had no one his brother father and mother was killed only his father's brother and his family was alive because they were living in lahore at that time and he contacted to India and later found my moms grandmother she is still alive she doesn't remember stuff like her own son or daughter but remembers everything that happened to her sge said before the Sikh took her in his house a woman applied something red on her forehead so the people there won't kill her.

Partition was good, but the only mistake was who supported two nations on the basis of religion. All of them are still living in bharat and playing victim card as minority. I used to talk with my thakuma ( dadi) . she was born in bangladesh and came in India after partition. She used to recall her childhood and talks about her house and neighborhood
my grand father,s phuppo refused to leave her haveli in Up all of us asked her to leave the haveli and move to Pakistan. but she refused and said i can't leave my forefathers haveli. she remained there and was sexually abused by the sikhs. she later on died there.

Just learn the millions were stuck in pakistam after it was made and while many moved to that side, those who stuck although it was their land were forced to live in an islamic republic, decades of religious persecution and no help from our side of government who promised transit either died, lived as bonded labour or were converted, raped and killed, this romantisation and fascination of no reason with pakistan is so stupid, there is no human connection and countless have died defending the land so people like us can live our full lives and this is not even emotional, it is logical and fact based. Partition was bad idea As immigrants from india are not treated well in Pakistan and not much accepted as well Also, there attitude is different from rest of Pakistan, which make total sense as they ancestors was from different regions of India Whole theory or partition is a total disaster after 70 years of separation
What do you mean there attitude is different from Pakistan I didn't understood your perspective and anyway the old generations have such attitude and new generations don't have this type of attitude. My ancestors moved from Sindh to India during partition and I don't have any kind of favourable attitude for Pakistan but it's pretty obvious that older generation which saw partition through their eyes have a soft corner but they are citizens of their own country and work there and contribute towards their country. I don't have any favourable view of Pakistan's government but maybe a soft corner for sindhis. Partition was a blessing for India and people like me and none of the immigrants from Pakistan in India are treated unwell. I did not face any discrimination and just treated like a normal citizen
