As we age we all gain a few pounds. Who cares what others think. As long as your happy that is all that matters. Everyone has an opinion about someone else.
I remember when I lived in San Diego. I played beach volleyball every weekend. I had a 650cc scooter. I cut thru traffic and park in front of my buddy's house at the beach and not have to worry about parking.

I am not seeing you sideways, but looks you do not have the double chin like me. I am 5' 3," the weight gain shows more on me. The older you get, the weight gain easier to come on. What you got for $23.00 in groceries today. My mother said in the 1950s, some 1960s, a family of 5 (us), $10.00 cost of weekly groceries would be enough for us! Of course, there is much more different foods to buy today, and the prices! If you get a scooter, I get concerned, some do not see a vehicle like that, and the motorcycles that get hit sometimes too. The city I live in, not as large as L. A., but has grown much, the traffic much worse, and a tourist town. I wish the best for you, whatever you do. The young lady jogging braless, she needs to be wearing a good support bra (not jiggling up and down like that), and could affect her breast later on. You just need to eat healthy, and drink plenty of water. Personally, I think you look fine. But you know you best. Don't worry about what others think. Do what you need to for you! And I think the options at Whole Foods are best. You may pay more, but personally, the quality of their food is very good.
Just switch 85 percent of your food ingredients to be non gmo or organic labeled. Pass by any fast food types. In and out burgers folks have good non antibiotic injected meat. A tip I use to stay healthy when traveling.
