Noone wants to use KOKOTRASH with her stationary jellyfish(even 4* fischl can reposition her Oz multiple times but 5* kokomi can't reposition her jellyfish 😂), Kokotrash also has huge ER requirement to trigger passive, weakest interruption resistance in burst, and no one-shot heal for offield party makes her trash of the trash, KOKOTRASH

For those who don't know, if you have enough hydro, then adding an electro or cryo character will help produce more bloom seeds. While adding a second dendro can do that as well, dendro MC, Collei, and Yaoyao don't have much personal damage compared to electro and cryo characters, and adding cryo gives a surprising amount of freeze uptime, which is always nice. Also, Beidou's damage reduction and C1 shield give some nice additional defensive utility to the team.

@@finebook281 yeah, and for burgeon specifically adding electro/cryo character is significantly more impactful for generating more seeds because it helps dealing with burning, weakening burning aura - something that adding second dendro wouldn’t solve

You would think the dummies at HoYo would’ve made the “fish Archon” that is literally the mermaid, the fastest swimmer in the game but duh, she swims the same as every character in the game.

OG Kokomi lover gang! I still can't believe people called her bad when theory crafters said she wasn't, and then people changed their mind after OHC came out even though all it did was buff on-field Kokomi and not off field which is how many use her

@@raurisaurus5057 All because she can't crit so they can't use her as a damage per screenshot. Their loss though because hydro characters will always age like fine wine as more and more contents will be released.

@@punpun1818 The thing was she could still get pretty decent damage per screenshots. Just only in overworld (which is where they all are to begin with). Vaporize CA kokomi's could hit around 40k with a really invested build non Crit. Was it optimal? Probably not. But it could happen. I think the biggest issue people had with Kokomi wasn't the fact that she wasn't a DperSS, but more of the fact that at the time healers were considered unecessary and she didn't provide any damage buffs in her base kit, and her burst was a DPS burst, but she wasn't exactly a DPS character. (Very similar to Dehya's overall kit design, but Kokomi was done right). Once people learned her AOE hydro application was the best in-game, that she could utilize Tenacity and TTDS, and that she was an excellent driver with more versatility than Childe due to not requiring a healer but could still output decent damage, that's when people really started to change their outlooks. (But that mainly happened after her "buff" came out which was OHC, which only helped her On-field driver teams and not her off field ones.) Plus once the rifthounds came out, they really helped convince people to have an invested healer. But as you said, Hydro characters always age like fine wine. They get better overtime due to how well they synergize with most elements, and every hydro characters kit has potential (except for maybe Barbara, but she does work as both a CA DPS, a driver, and a healer/freezer).

Nilou is the most useless character anyway outside of pure bloom, also only like 3 animations, boring as heck

@@spellcheck5393 I’d choose Kokomi over Barbara any day. Kokomi both heals and does damage, and is a familiar face on team lists. In other words she’s more versatile, more future-proof and more meta (if that is something you’re interested in). Besides, an octopus! And fishes! :D However, if you like Barbara more than Kokomi, you just have to decide which one you’d enjoy playing more. : )

@@spellcheck5393 C6 Barbara has a resurrection. So that's pretty amazing. I'd probably still build Kokomi first though.

need more heal, use ocean, need more buff to team, use tenacity

R1 Proto Amber is still good for both playstyles even if the energy refund is a little less noticeable! You can slowly work towards R5 as you collect more billets, and since Thrilling Tales is so cheap to build up you can always have one ready in your inventory if you ever change your mind.
