guitarist isn't bad either and those percussion-istas know the score... the feel here is sublime... it's the shape and sureness of the lines, divided into groups of 2+3+3 but offset across the bar line to start on the 'and' of 4... wow that cubano feel...
Let's hear you play it then. Also play the original classical version of Listz? It's not easy and is considered a show piece for virtuosos. Also a lot of jazz is improvised so while this may not be if parts of it are then reading it would not be possible. She' s a great jazz pianist. I assure you.
@@larkspur77I don’t know the liszt version. I didn’t want to attack or criticize anyone. Only talked about the title „she practiced xy a day“. She has a great feeling which I admire. But technically it’s really not hard. I am a mediocre pianist and can play it quite easy 😊 but still: her playing is really cool and great art
@larkspur77 Not sure you actually know what you are talking about. Liszt's "La Campanella" is part of the Paganini Études and is an extremely virtuosistic piece that ranks amongst the most technically demanding pieces in the piano repertoire. This piece from Szentpeteri is a jazzy cuban-style version inspired on the main theme of "La Campanella", which basically borrows a handful of notes from Liszt's melody. This is an intermediate-level piece with no major techical challenges that any advanced classical or jazz pianist would be expected to sightread without any hesitation. An intermediate piano player with 5-6 years of experience will tackle this piece after some practice. But this is certainly not a TwoSetViolin 40 h/day piece of music...
@@mckernan603 Uh? Passages in (double) thirds and sixths are part of the intermediate level repertoire (check Etudes from Czerny, Diabelli for example). Any professional player would be expected to sightread this piece since there are no technical challenges here for an advanced player. The daily job of many professional pianists and accompanists is to sightread and do orchestral reductions (in real time) of pieces that are orders of magnitude more complex than this one...
Well, it does not sound like an acoustic because it is NOT an acoustic but a digital piano 🙂You can see that clearly several times in the video, for example at 1:35 -1:38. Because of the location of the display and buttons, it should be one of the Roland GP series, which are digital pianos with the form factor of a small acoustic. Some of the Yamaha Clavinova also look similar but have the controls on the side and not on the middle like the Roland. Anyway, even if this was an acoustic, the mix would likely sound not that good because this is not a studio setting. Moreover, apart from the percussion and digital piano, it seems that the other instruments are not being played live at all.... this is actually quite a mediocre performance...
