I am a passion fruit and bell pepper farmer for now with so much passion. I started the farming after realising that my Civil engineering job can go anytime. Actually I am a graduate Civil engineer but I plan to quit when I acquire more land for my farming because the more land the better. Of course when I talk of quitting engineering, its like I offend some of my family members and friends but great inspirations from people like Bwogi, Farm-up etc give me the positive attitude.

Please be careful, there are different kinds of cassava. In jamaica 🇯🇲 we us bitter cassava carefully(juice in the root is poisonous), the cyanide poison is in the cassava skin and juice. So we juice and dry the bitter cassava to get rid of the poison and use the dry solid material to make a sort of flat bread/cake that you use like fufu to eat other things. Sweet cassava are cooked and use like yams, but there is still poison in the skin which we peel off of course. These are the two kind of cassava found in Jamaica, i know this from listening to my elders talk when I was a child. Cassava is native to South America, so they probable have many different kinds. If she wants to use cassava leaves for food, it is better if she imports the same kind of cassava from 🇬🇭 Ghana or Ivory Cost along with the knowledge on how to prepare it safely. Therefore, you are both probably correct about cassava. There are different kinds, some poisonous and some less so. In Jamaica we eat a fruit that no other island eats because it is poisonous; but Jamaicans know when to pick the same fruit and which part of it is poisonous. The time you pick the fruit is also important for it not to be poisonous. It is one of our national food. Even cashews are poisonous, the fruit is not; but the casings around the seed contains a very strong acid. Cashew nuts must be roasted before you can eat them, or else they will cause a lot of damage to animals consuming it. So, you have to be very very cautious around certain foods; this is where village collective knowledge and experience come into play. Be careful with your food, different types of the same food you eat can be poisonous. Even stressing out some plants which my not seem to be poisonous may cause them to be poisonous. Remember that plants produce poison ☠️ to protect themselves from being eaten. Blessings and one love 🇯🇲🇺🇬🇰🇪🇿🇦🇪🇹🇿🇲🇿🇼🇲🇼🇨🇬🇬🇭🇻🇨🇧🇼🇭🇹🙏

After watching WODEMAYA's RU-vid channel, I am deeply inspired by the immense potential and power of African agriculture. The impact that farmers such as @FarmUp and @Bwogi farms are making in their communities is truly remarkable. Not only is farming a profitable business, but it also has the ability to positively impact the world around us. I am now eager to learn more about agriculture and explore the opportunities it presents for sustainable development and economic growth in Africa. Shoutout to @WodeMaya for the great content, but I do miss hearing your signature sound truck 🎵 🎶 …..wodeMaya to the world…… 🎵 🎶 😂, I don’t think I've heard it in here!

Woda Maya in some parts of Uganda most especially in west Nile and northern region, we eat both yam and cassava leaves. It's only in central Uganda where they don't eat those leaves. Uganda has different tribes, each tribe has what it eats and what it doesn't. I wish you were still in Uganda u would visit other regions too. Thanks

Loved your smiles, Grace. Thank you for the education that we do not research, or write down and publish our knowledge. Or, we could have seen that cassava may be good only for some use; but not others, for example. Please continue to build your farm, and farm structures out of local materials. Some future time, we may also learn to make those aesthetically great. Mud can look beautiful if shaped and baked with care and skill. Wood can be grown straight and worked beautifully. Solar panels can come from silica/sand sources - of which we have more than any. Rain water can be captured in reservoirs and you never lack water ever again. These skills are found in abundance all over the world. All we need to do is look and copy. Like the 7000-head farm in S. Africa with only 3 workers. You can do it better, and with more/less staff as only you choose. Keep transforming Africa by waking us from the stupor of dysfunctional education and hypocritical religions. You are now teaching more than when you held lecture sessions. Wishing you more success, and thank you so much.

@WODE MAYA Would you mind asking this Lady to talk to our University Lecturers in the West? These Guys have become so selfimportant and arrogant, doing some agriculture work might really benefit them. They might not look down on the regular person as much as they do now if they helped her for a couple of weeks on the Farm! 🧐 Best Regards, German Oyinbo
