Pointer #1: Fancy shapes are difficult to purchase online. Specifically with emerald diamonds, there is nothing on the certificate that will indicate the quality of the cut, which is especially vital for this type of diamond.

I used to be really into this look, but through experience of wearing these diamond shapes, I learned that you have to keep these stones SUPER clean because they show dirt/soap/lotion VERY easily, and then they are less sparkly.

Shampoo and a toothbrush or water pic, is a gentle degreaser, as diamonds have an affinity for grease. And when you put the ring on don't put your finger on the face of the diamond and push the ring on, because just from the oil of your finger will take down the shine, slide the ring on holding it on the sides, just FYI.

That ring is stunning! Wow! Angelina Jolie's ring is my absolute #1 favorite celebrity ring. It has such clean lines without contrasting details or accents. Just the progressively small emerald stones. I recently bought a Tycoon seven stone half eternity band with a similar look. The center is the largest emerald cut, and the 3 stones on either side get progressively smaller. Its fake but still stunning especially with the signature Tycoon diamond shape faceting on the table. Still love the round cut. But the emerald cut is a close second. Who knows, I may upgrade my diamond round cut engagement ring to an emerald cut. Been married 16 yrs, so it may be time.
