She's a Woman - The Beatles Cover by MonaLisa Twins
Recorded at the Cavern Club in Mathew Street, Liverpool during our 100th and last residency show in 2016.

It was the B-Side to “I Feel Fine” but never made it onto an official Beatles album - unless you count those released many years later, or “Beatles ’65” which was only an American release at the time.
We love the energy and the backbeat of this song and it's one that the audience always liked, whether they were Beatles fans or not. Something about the way it builds, the way the chorus contrasts the quite laid-back verses ... 👌
It's a song that fit in the Cavern Club perfectly, and we hope you’ll enjoy our little take on this Paul McCartney penned song, too!

Ladies, this is one of the Beatles' best covers ever! She's A Woman is the perfect song for you all. Lisa's vocals and Mona's prowess on her Ricky just sells this song in Spades. Oh, those guitars! And the vocals couldn't be more suited to this cover! It amazes me how you consistently get studio-perfect sound live on-stage! I only wish this whole song was longer, and Mona's guitar solo in particular!

@@ronrotunno-jh6hw Yes, and maybe most of the Beatles singles could have been double A sides (like Day Tripper/We Can Work it Out) because a lot of the B sides were still strong in my opinion. This Boy being an excellent ballad, and I'm Down a solid rocker. I bet the Mona Lisa twins could do a great version of this!

"She's A Woman" peaked at #4 on the Billboard singles chart in the US (while the A side "I Feel Fine" went to#1). I think it was the highest charting B side by The Beatles in the US.

I hope this is ok to say but I sometimes have a feeling that a lot of woman musicians rely on their looks so they aren’t all necessarily as accomplished on their instruments as, say, an “ugly” man. But I’m so glad I’m wrong here, you playing the riff and singing at the same time doesn’t look easy but both of you play your guitars with such ease, better than some proper famous guitarists I’ve seen live. I hope this comment doesn’t upset anyone or seem sexist or ignorant, it brings me great joy to see incredibly talented women get the recognition they deserve
