Hello Crystal! I come in from work and sit down to watch me an Elite care video and to my surprise this time it is me! Lol 😂. I am so thankful that you were able to fit me into your schedule. I absolutely love my hair. It is so manageable now. And yes I was abused terribly as a child. They would straighten my hair with the old hot comb while the roots were still wet among other things. I love the cut. I'm white with baby fine straight hair. It has no body. It's poker straight. I can curl it and sweat it out in 5 minutes. I'm 72 and struggled with a style that would look good curled or straight. The micro-pixie is my go-to cut. I wash it and let it air dry with finger drying most every day. If it's a special day, I curl and put product it. I don't like a lot of messing with my hair. I love casual comfortable clothing, elastic waists are my friends. I retired from the medical profession and education at 68 and chose as much as possible, a low key life-style. The mini-pixie is my love. Even when it goes out of style, I will wear it. I know people have encouraged me to get perms, I ALWAYS end up with frizz or I have to curl it. The plain little pixie is my choice. I love to you watch your videos. They are the best. You are an excellent teacher. Even though my hair is the opposite of most your clients, I learn so much about hair and cuts. God bless you.

As a licensed cosmetologist, it always varied for me on the density and length of the hair, but I normally give 3 shampoos when doing a relaxer.

A lot of us has gone back to relaxers( including Myself) For some it takes years off our face( look much younger ) and chic. I also love the big natural fro, it’s all about preference. I no longer go to a stylist for relaxers. I received relaxers from the 70's and there was super and regular strength. I wore finger waves in the 70's and regular strength would not straighten my hair enough, so I got super strength. I would have scalp burns with pus and would have scabs when my scalp was healing. Thank God most relaxers today are gentler

I remember those days. 🔥 I got the big chop 19 years ago. The perm was fine until menopause. Body chemistry changed and I continually lost hair in the nape area. Hot flashes, perm, & fine, thin, hair didn’t work for me. My hair is healthy now. I’m way past 65 and my gray is just coming in around the edges. My hair is reddish brown and it looks a mess at times in this heat. I’m not complaining though. I’m glad to have a healthy head of hair.(Congratulation on the coming king!👶🏽🧸🎈🎊)By the way, her hair looks great!

Now I love watching you and you give great information out but as a licensed stylist I find it easier to do it the way that is proper which is with the base and 4 parts and here's why because she is natural going to a it's always been that you make sure there is no scalp irritation beforehand and by properly baseand doing your for section it's always a plus the proper way gives you the same advantage and ensure that every string of the client hair get the proper relaxer that is needed
