Thanks all. I'm a country boy and proud of it. We care about each other and when someone is in need, no one has to even start a fundraiser. It's done. Our faith is real as well. One of my favorite sports heros was Gale Sayers who played for the Bears. He wrote a book called "I am Third" I have always tried to live by those words and his meaning for them. As he says, God is first, my family is second and I am third. What a faithful thing to live by. I'm old but I'm still trying to follow that. ANNA was the same. God was first for her and I hope one day to meet her although I have no idea how that works. I just have faith that it does and God gives me the strength, that if the time comes, my last words should be the same as St. ANNA

The first thing that bothered me about this story of poor Anna was that her father led her to this. The second was that in the video the narrator states that she would rather die than sin. Rape is NOT a sin on the victim’s part! This is truly a tragic end to a young girl ‘s life but she would still be pure in the Lord’s eyes had she chosen to submit to save her life!

The fact that her family name sounds so slavic is the consequence of the Chechoslovakian (today Slovakian) laws enforcing slovakisation amongst Hungarian population. Yes, it has nothing to do with the story of blessed Anna. It nonetheless tells a story of Hungarians robbed by the Slovaks of literally everything. Da pacem Domine.

Why do you think they were hiding in the basement? The video even states, "they were aware of the moral reputation of the Soviet occupiers". He KNEW the Russian soldiers were dangerous - ESPECIALLY to females! But instead of engaging the soldier HIMSELF, like any decent MAN and loving DAD would, he sent his poor 16 year old girl out to him, like a lamb to the slaughter! What a terrible betrayal of his child! How unworthy he was of his brave young daughter! I only hope his actions weighed heavily on him until the day he died.
