In the UK we will hear of it only if it's in the news. There are countless requests for extradition by different countries. We do not hear about them. The Kenyan government are to blame for no justice in the case for not formally demanding the repatriation of the soldier. In every profession be it social services, medicine, there are bad eggs. I recall the pathetic role of social services in the UK in the death of Victoria Climbie. Medical doctors are also involved in catastrophic mistakes during surgery in the UK, I have been a victim and have a medical negligence case ongoing. We can therefore not castigate soldiers.

The autopsy, and video evidence confirm that they beat her to death, and broker her neck/spine. The US says they can't extradite the suspects, Mexico gave them the case, and the US aren't doing anything.

Thank you for airing this story. I remember l was very young, still residing in Kenya at the time. You need to remember, what exactly happened they were British sailor's who had ⚓️ anchored in Kenya. When there was a murder, the solider X, it was a violent death or rather murder. The perpetrator ran back to the ship. The ship, even though it had anchored in Kenya. The Kenya government was unable to retrieve the murderer, the perpetrator. The ship acted as UK embassy office and protected the soldier, the murderer. The Kenyan Government was unable to enter into the ship, which acted as an embassy, a safe haven for the perpetrator. The Captain of the ship at the time according to army regulations, declined to hand over the perpetrator. Eventually the ship sailed back to the UK. The young lady might have been a prostitute, but that was a life lost, a murder was committed regardless. The Kenyan Government failed to present their case to the UK government who upto date hides a killer in their midst. Please remember the Kenyan Government did it's best. The other alternative was for Kenyan soldiers to raid the ship to retrieve the killer who was NOT handed or known to them. There was a wall of silence until the ship left for UK. Then, we had ships from America, UK, Canada, India, China who would Peaceful sail and anchor in Kenya maybe for 2, 3, 6 months etc. So this was the case. The killer was protected by the UK military. The killer was a military, army person. I cannot recall. And it is more than 11 years Please. Over 20 years going to around 30 years. I have lived in UK for over 20 plus years, this did not happen 11 years ago, no Rest in peace, African gal x.

The fault lies with the Kenyan government for not formally demanding the repatriation of the soldier. The British government cannot do anything when the Kenyan government have not said anything to them about it. I live in London where the UK government is located. I can assure you that if the Kenyan government had formally requested the repatriation of the soldier, and if the British government did not act to repatriate him,then the opposition party would have brought the matter up in the House of Commons, and the British government would have been forced to act. No action has been taken because the Kenyan government has not formally asked the British government to repatriate the soldier to Kenya.

I remember a story of an American soldier that killed an asian lady while in a training camp in Asia. The American government immediately handed him over for prosecution. The soldier was African American. You would think these countries will do the right thing when the victim is black and African, yet here we are.
