Both of you speak pure tagalog as if you guys were actually born and raised in the Philippines. I am chinese born and raised in the Philippines , also now living here in Toronto...but still don't speak the way you both do in tagalog. You use almost 90% tagalog words than English. That's really amazing...it's fun watching your vloggs...
This is so tripping me out 🤣🤣🤣 I'm half but I was born in the PI so Tagalog is my first language. I can so relate because Filipinos flip out when they hear me speak, but you guys are amazing. Thank you to both for adopting our Language and Culture 🙏
Great colab with this video. Thanks for the bridge you connect from far away from corners of the world to open and in touch our language.

trivia: ‘po or opo’ is traditionally used for someone older or with authority.. inversely, you could also use ‘ho or oho’ for someone of the same or lower age. :)

Comment ko lng sa tongue twister,,,,,menikaniko ni meniko ang makina ng Minika ni monika,,,,not manika,,,,,sorry for correction ha God Bless Anyway thanks for will for trying to learn tagalog language,,,,and i owe u so much
Much appreciated that you made great effort to learn our language “Tagalog”. That shows you have a heart for our heritage so I am returning to you the same respect and as a Filipino I truly admire you.
Wow, you guys are good, some Filipinos who were born in the Philippines grew up in the Philippines but refused to speak Tagalog when they arrived in the US. I came to the US as a 10 year old but as time went by when I speak Tagalog my tongue gets twisted, I went to school hung out with friends, in those days there were no Filipinos in my classes, that was in the 60’s I didn’t want to forget Tagalog so when my mother’s friend’s used to come over lots of them, they would talk to me in English I answered in Tagalog. They were surprised I still know how. They would ask me, you still know Tagalog? Yes.
dude, you took time to learn our language, it's usually the other way around. If i see you in the PH. try out Davao City. Imma give you a hug and a much deserved fist bump! More power to you
God bless.
Husay! But to be frank, yung mga kaklase kong Amerikano at taga ibang bansa, naging mahusay pa mag-Tagalog kesa sa akin. Nowadays, ako mismo nahihirapan nang mag-Tagalog. Sobrang tagal na kasi sa Amerika! :(
You two are amazing! (Kamanghamangha kayong dalawa!) The way she uses "siguro" in conversation is so Pinoy. I salute you both. (Saludo ako sa inyong dalawa.)
No sobrang Galing nyong dalawa, imagine kahit kaming pinoy mahirap yang tongue twisting sa totoo lang Guys sobrang saya naman, galing nyo God bless you jared at si ate Puti.
Galing nyo dalawa magtagalog! Hands down. Sobrang bilib ako sa inyo🙏
Not only tagalog you have learned fluently....but also in what we called 'Taglish'. You both so good when to insert a tagalog word or phrase/ an english word/phrase in a sentence.
Its hilarious as hell that most of us filipinos dont even speak our native tongue in its formal form lol, and yet others who learn it speak it so formally.
So impressive! To be fluent after 10 months!? That's pretty amazing! I was born in the states and only know some words here and there.. And every time I go to my favorite Filipino restaurant, the owners make fun of me because I don't speak! 🤣 You both should put out a Tagalog tutorial.. I'm sure there are many American born Filipinos like myself that would love to learn the language. Nice job you guys!
Thank you for the kind words! A few months ago, I actually did release a Tagalog course. If you're interested, you can check it out here: link.pbccalgary.ca/jared-hartmann-course?am_id=jared746

It's good to learn Tagalog because you can speak to any Filipinos by using the national language, even though we have different dialects in the Philippines, Tagalog is very useful for conversation to any Filipinos.
