it doesn't like running after you first start it because you're twisting the throttle while you're starting it like it's a two stroke. Anything more than the smallest amount of throttle will throw too much fuel into the engine as you'll be opening the fuel circuit past the pilot jet and you'll be onto the needle jet circuit. The choke will help get fuel up for your first start. After that, there will be fuel in the carb ready to go. Two stroke can deal with a bit off extra fuel because excess fuel will still drain out the ports on the side of the cylinder. 4 strokes can't get rid of the excess fuel because the exhaust valve is up in the head.
7:00 i dont understand why nobody explains to people new to manual shift what the clutch actually does and how it physically works. Doesnt even need to explain a bike clutch, but the automobile one, since the function is the same. Just explain to her, the clutch is coupling the engine to the gear/wheel and pulling it disconnects the 2.
You should get her boots . And should of started with an old dirt bike that has a long seat with someone on back . All your experience you can do better 😜
