Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah, Hicky was awesome on the day. Always there for people. I now have somebody to shout for when I go to the BSB or TT next year! :) Ade
They ARE proper racing bikes - just little ones!! They are demanding, quick and if you can ride these fast, you can rude anything! The kids were amazing, like mini MotoGP riders showing some amazing skills and track confidence. Ade
Legend! Listening to him it is hard to picture him atop a superbike blasting along the TT course, inches from danger. Hicky seems so normal, you'd expect some mad glint in his eye.
Yeah, amazing when you think what Hicky does for a living. You can see he is bike mad, like myself, just that he has god given talent and I have none :) Was great meeting him. I go to BSB occasionally and always watch the TT so now he will be my favourite and will cheer him on! Ade
Great shout. Peter would love that, if the racing series was televised, even on some sort of bike channel. In all forms of sport in this country, although the infrastructure is very good in parts, there is little media coverage of anything other than adult activities. Ade
Watching that, you can see it is a lot about technique and you need to have the confidence to put your keen down to get round those bends with any kind of speed. Great watching.
It was a great day! See more about Peter's Ohvale bikes and his ongoing news at: peterhickman.net/ohvale-about-us facebook.com/peterhickman60 instagram.com/hickyracer60 ru-vid.com twitter.com/peterhickman60
Ha, yeah. A couple of other guys were there, including James Hillier. one of the blokes took Bikke out, you can see him 'waiting' for Bikke on the video. Ade
Ha, yeah, could be a laugh on the road. Not sure on the speed as on small tracks they would never likely reach it and the gearing is aimed at these twisty sort of routes. Seeing as heavier 125s go 65MPH - geared correctly I cant see why it wouldnt reach a bit higher. Still , these are not about top end but having the feel and ability of a big bike,. Ade
@@RevMonkey thanks for the reply. Might be something to add to my collection of small bore bikes when I have more money lol. I'd love to try raceing one on a big bore grom.
I did go out there but the video was so slow you would have thought there was a problem. i was worried, scared and anxious. i didnt want to drop it! Ade
The bikes are sick but the price is absolutely ridiculous.. they start at like 6500$ and top of the line is 9 thousand dollars.. I would like a explanation on why they are almost as expensive as full size bikes and actually more expensive then some fullsize bikes? I mean the engine is made by someone else if I'm not mistaken so what's the deal? Is it just bc you can?
@@RevMonkey yeah I mean they fabricate the chassis sure but not much else..I guess ur rly just paying for the idea but it won't be long before Chinese manufacturers start cloning these things for a 3rd of the price and I'm fine with that. Id buy one of those and just upgrade it myself bc I can do some light fabricating. Just bc it comes out of Italy doesn't mean it has to be expensive
@@seanc6754 I believe you can already get much cheaper Chinese bikes. I do agree, it seems to have an Italian Premium on it, much like their sports cars!
I have a friend that has the 190 and he mentioned to me that every 1020hrs. he has to change the plug, as well as check the valves. If you own this model please let everybody know if this is a problem with the engine?
At least you started young and no doubt really enjoyed yourself! These bkes are really hardcore, firm and unforgiving in that you have to treat them like a full bike. Ade
Not sure, due to gearing. These things are 120 up to 190cc, light as anything and 'normal' 125 can do 65 mph! As they are meant for circuits you can never get up much over 50 anyway. Love to see Hicky do a promotion whereby he rides this for one lap of the IOM TT!!! :) He'd still be quicker than me if I was on my Fireblade! :) Ade
