Here’s my issue with this. Even if a woman IS ok with dating a man with kids (I am), it would be a massive concern about him as a parent/as a person that he seemed almost ashamed to be honest about having those kids. She had to pull it out of him! What kind of parent isn’t willing to claim their children and be proud of them? I’m not saying he needs to show pics, give details about his kids on the first date that would be dangerous; I just think that a good parent should first and foremost be honest and proud to have their children. If someone doesn’t like it, then they’re not for you, but for this girl it’s a new level of unfair.

I am not saying that she was lying, just that anyone tells a story, they emphasize some aspects and mute others. This is to say the guy sitting next to them in the cafe might have told the story differently. The point of her story is that the guy hid information, and he likely did to some extent, but the actual exchange may not be a precise retelling.
I would probably assume that when he looked at her profile, he saw the "Don't want kids" part of it, but swiped anyways. His way of thinking was probably that if he could just charm her, maybe she will overlook it. I think this is the tip of the iceberg. When I met my husband and he said he had a teenager my first thought was to run. Not because he was a single dad, I had a 4 year old at the time, but because he had a teenager and I didn't know that I wanted to go from toddler to teenager that quick. But I gave it a chance and we have been together 12 years and married over 8, and still very happy.

Yep definite red flag. I don't blame her for walking. I get his reasons, but I say this for the ladies side as well, if you got kids you have to be up front about it. Is it going to cut down the amount of people you meet? Sure, but its better for everyone in the long run. As a single parent I was always upfront with having kids. There were still plenty of potential partners. There is simply no need to judge someone for not wanting to be in that situation. Accept it and move on.
I've had dating profiles in the past and would state on my profile i was disabled and walk with a crutch because obviously if I were to meet someone in person in wouldn't come as a total shock to them. When someone states clearly in their profile that they don't want kids, it pretty much essentially means they don't want a partner with kids either, because they know that getting a partner who's got kids inevitably requires them to have to deal with their partner's kids.

I was dating this guy who after a month of talking/dating disclosed he had an STI. We hadn’t hooked up so I was pretty relieved but also mad he waited so long to tell me. Whether it’s fair or not I would never feel comfortable engaging with him (he had herpes) sexually and told him that in as kind a way I could. I don’t think a person should disclose an sti until they get to know you more and you get to know them. Not every interaction ends with sex. Now had y’all had sex and he disclosed afterwards, then that’s a major problem.
mmm, I always thought if some one doesn't want something, it means they don't want it. it's like having the option to have bread & some one is like "you want some bread?" you say no. & then they pull out THEIR loaf of bread & ask "do you want some of my bread?" "...no...I don't want bread, we just went over this." lol but I guess if some people FEEL like it means something else, well, it does change things
She was honest and I totally appreciate that. Plenty of men out there refuse to date single mothers and that's their preference and prerogative, so the same goes for a young woman with the same preference. Someone this young without children are entitled to their "no kids" preference because they're just trying to enjoy dating and life experiences without the extra "drama." What's faulty is when you have childre(n) and then demand to date people with no children. Get your head checked for that one.
Yeah. I've not met many men with that attitude, but it does exist amongst women. Not as bad as when I was younger mind you. I guess when you're hitting 40. Common sense kicks in & you know there will be a very large percentage of singles who come with kids. Having a "no kids" requirement is very limiting.
@@ghostendgame Not always as clean cut as that. Personally myself, I didn't choose to get cheated on & fucked over. However, as in all things, we make choices as individuals. If you don't want to date someone with kids. That entirely your right. However as you get older. You will be deing with an ever shrinking dating pool.
I love Kelly Stamps her vibe is so great! Its nice to see someone around my age who doesn't have a kid and does not put up with others bs! If you watch some of her videos she is so confident and knows her worth! I love to see it! (she is 23 and I am 24 and sometimes I feel so alone being young with no kids, single, and does not put up with the bs so it is nice coming across someone like Kelly!)
So pppl are happy tp be bonus parents so it's weird and irksome how so many ppl try to convince others to want to have kids or to accept their kids. They're really only thinking about themselves at that point.
At the end of the day, everyone has a choice to make. If she rejected him because he has kids, that's fine. That's her choice. I wouldn't date a woman who has kids, so I understand why she bailed.

I found after my divorce that the women that had issues with me being a dad, it was mostly “I want to experience raising a child with someone who also hasn’t done it before” They want their first child to be theirs. I always found that to be reasonable.
That's how I've always felt to be honest, but I'm open to maybe giving someone a chance who has one. The problem is we could really miss out on a person who would be great for us because of the standards/rules we set. Someone with a child could be a great partner versus someone childless be a terrible match. It depends
Yup, I was 23 and dated a guy with 3 kids he was nice and was still figuring out everything, always honest with me, in the end I ended it because I wanted my own kids, a year later I got married and had a baby, (I now have 2 kids and still married) he also re married someone with 2 kids, I think she was better fit for him, as long as you're honest we can't get mad.
"I don't want kids" means any kids. I don't want kids of my own and I don't want to deal with your kids. And I don't want to deal with the financial implications.
