Minsk is home to a small population of Vietnamese people who left Vietnam in the 80s as contracted workers to the Soviet Union. After its end, many Vietnamese people still remain in Belarus and started new lives and families for themselves. In this video, I visit with a few of them at the local market. They were all pretty curious as to who I was because not many Americans or Vietnamese Americans show up like that. I think they were also kidding about their daughters.
