Glad we got to know him more and know his story. It's not being nosy but when you love and support someone as much as we do with Aysha there's a minimum that we want to know of the story for the sake of our love for her. Now we can go back not knowing anything more about him and only have Aysha and we'll be fine. We know his name, we know he has chill vibe, he is a fashion designer by passion which makes sense because in all the pictures we saw I loved his unique fashion sense, he's revert and bring genuine happiness to our girl. I've enjoyed the podcast and learning about Yasin.. May Allah grant his and Aysha's marriage peace and goodness. (One of Aysha's subscriber here😊) A point to note: As a practicing Muslim and as an individual who has non Muslim friends, it's extremely unfair to make comparisons between religions, a sentiment that was very obvious here. As podcasters there is a need to have a neutral ground in certain conversations UNLESS if this is a podcast only meant to address the Islamic Brotherhood. Amir: not all Muslims are nurturing and respectful. Black Muslim experience prejudice from other Muslims especially in countries that the majority are those who follow Islam, kindly research on it. It's good to be proud of our religion and to see the goodness and beauty in it but it's ignorant to think less of other religious beliefs simply because we're not ascribed to them, or understand them. We need to be secure in our own belief system because it feels right, because of what we read from the Qur'an and the teachings of the prophet (PBUH) but never with arguments that contrast. May Allah guide us all in our dealings.

I have been followig Aysha for years now. As a Christian girl much attached to my Christian faith, I find it interesting to follow a follow lady like me much attached to her faith. But today, this podcasts made me a bit sad. I am not against comparison at all, but only when you have read and understood for yourself the Christian scriptures. On a seperate note, I am so suprised to see how Christianity in America has become luke warm (I am African and live in France)? Throughout the entire video I was like "Gosh! what type of vibes are my christian brothers and sisters giving out there??". Enough said.. this just made me sad, as the Holy Bible teaches the absolute contrary.

To our christian brothers and sisters here, I have a question, if this was about a person that converted from islam to christianity, would you call his opinions insults? Or you would respect them? I watch videos here on youtube of people that left islam, they say alot of things about islam and some of them are lies but we are used to insults, criticism and people's opinions so we respect them and do what we are supposed to do.

I really like Aysha , it’s because I learn a lot from her. Her positivity always was great to be around. The only thing I kind of disagree in this podcast is I don’t think it’s fair comparing religion. Ofcourse I will be surprised and happy seeing Christian people in Saudi Arabia it’s because a lot of Christian is not living there. In addition there is a lot Christians that follow the bible rules and at the same time majority of them is not. So I don’t think it’s fair to talk about as all Christians are not living there best. I am not disagreeing about all your conversations, I actually enjoyed them but as Aysha has a lot Christian followers or fun I don’t think it’s fair having compar and contrast conversations about religion.

I agree with you very narrow-minded conversation. In Africa we are strict about our chrisianity and devout based around the cultures compared to here in England or USA or canada. The way Islam is practised in Saudi or Yemen or Iran/Iraq who by the way have varying disagreements on the correct history of Islam, they will not even support their type of way of life of Islam and look down on them as devout as this crew SEEM. So it's not one fits all for all Religion.

Then 10 seconds later, he simply says brotherhood in Christianity “isn’t as apparent” and that he “doesn’t see that.” Furthermore, you are entitled to stand on your point but to dismiss the hosts’ argument as a “false narrative” is highly disingenuous. Just one example to prove this point: Muslims give greetings of peace to each other on sight, break fast communally during Ramadan, and are able to recognize one another as brothers and sisters based purely on the way we dress. Does Christianity operate according to a similar model of brotherhood? If so, please enlighten me. Peace to you

Hi. I was wondering if your husband was Ethiopian or African American. I've taken more interest in Islam as well. I've researched both Nation of Islam and traditional islam and there are huge differences. I like the traditional better. I've learned alot. I love the muslim community. I shop at the Somali mall, lots of muslims there. The women call me sista. In christianity, the Christian's l know are not disciplined and there's no community, everyone does their own thing. This is why I'm attracted to islam.

I am a Christian and I admire Aysha alot and I have been following her for years. I have made some effort to understand Islam and Islamic ways through her Channel and I respect your religion So you can understand how I am not a fan of how Christianity was portrayed in this episode. Our ancestors were introduced to Christianity same as yours was introduced to Islam. So it is what we know and grew up in, same as you in Ethiopia. So yes, its part of a culture same for you but Aysha echoing that Yasin felt it was something 'taught/forced' and not 'innate' is contradictory because I can argue same for everyone born into Islam. And no, West Africa was not 'predominantly muslim'. It actually had traditional worshippers who were converted to Christianity and Islam based on the influence of the colonial masters in that region. The practices of Christians and Muslims are similar in some cases yet very different. Its not fair to hang the fact that possibly the people in Yasin's life did not show/teach him bible scriptures with understanding on Christianity and Christian faith as a whole.- He could have found that closeness with God by asking questions same as he was asking about Islam....to the right people!

Saying that the bible is 'a book that has been changed so many times' is a false narrative and not very informed. We have the bible in various translations to make it easier for understanding as not everyone could understand the Hebrew language. Neither is it a 'story book' with names of Kings and not factual! Come on guys! There are certain things you said that if I have said about Islam I could easily be stoned or burnt to D***th for it as par how Islam is practiced in certain parts of my country and I have chosen not to judge you based on how those people practice Islam so why judge ALL of Christianity based on your limited understanding, interactions and experiences though?

Even around the Trinity and how Christians are attributing humanity to God. Or the fact that there is all this 'Wisdom' in Islam and throwing subtle shades at Christianity.....The bible acknowledges God's Supremacy in every single thing and any Christian that understands and walks according to the words of God will tell you that. That you do not understand the reason or importance of the Trinity or even agree with it does not mean you should not respect it. We can agree to disagree as all truth will be revealed by God when we die.

Hi there! I can understand how you feel and I apologize for offending you. Aysha, Amir and myself (Sara) were born and raised on Islam and are quite ignorant to the details of the Christian religion. We know tidbits here and there from what we’re exposed to but that’s about it. I don’t think it’s fair to criticize what Yasin was saying though, as he was speaking from HIS experience. Aysha echoing what he said and saying Christianity was taught/forced on him and not something he was curious or possibly interested in is because he obviously shared his experience with her in great detail. Our intentions are never to offend anyone on this podcast but you have to understand that as hosts (Amir and Sara), we are always and can only really speak on things from our own lenses. As Canadians, Ethiopians and Muslims. Neither of us can speak on behalf of any other group because we haven’t lived their experience. If I listened to a podcast hosted by two Christian’s, I wouldn’t necessarily expect to be learning about Islam from them, I wouldn’t expect them to go into great detail about how the Qur’an was revealed to our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ or the attributes of God. To our knowledge, we’ve been informed that the bible has been changed and contains different information in some of the versions. I’m very well aware that there are different translations to cater to different people but to our knowledge, some of the core information was changed. Now, to say that we can’t compare Christianity to Islam is a bit of a stretch…this is a conversation people have on the daily. Just because we did it in a recorded environment from the perspective of 4 Muslims, doesn’t mean that we are wrong. We just have a different viewpoint. Various councils and religious leaders throughout history have made decisions about which books should be included in the Bible and which should not. This has resulted in different versions of the Bible with different numbers of books. The Bible is a collection of books written by various authors over a period of several centuries, and as a result, it contains different styles of writing, literary genres, and perspectives. Some of these differences can lead to apparent contradictions or inconsistencies in the text. Also its worth noting that the four Gospels of the New Testament - Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John - were written anonymously, meaning that the authors did not sign their names to the texts. While there has been some debate over the centuries about who wrote the Gospels, the identity of the authors remains uncertain. There is no concrete evidence to support that the gospels were written by the specific authors that they were attributed to based on tradition and speculation. The Gospels were written anonymously and it is possible that the Gospels were written by individuals who were not eyewitnesses to the events they describe, and who drew on various sources, including oral traditions and written materials, to create their accounts.

The nation of Islam was popular among African Americans in the 70s. Under Elijah Muhammad. After his death his son started transition them to al-islam. There was a split. The nation of Islam which is now being led by Farakhan and W.D Muhammad group who practiced Islam.

To say they were making fun of Christianity is a bit of a reach… You’re entitled to feel how you feel but their points were understandable given the nature of the conversation which centred around the guest’s conversion to Islam FROM Christianity. Some of these comments are acting as if one of the hosts called Christianity violent or insulted Jesus (peace be upon him)

About that West Africa being predominately muslim, its a big lie. West Africa was predominately Traditional african religion, just as Christianity was imported to Africa, Islam was imported as well.

But atleast the importers of Islam didn’t build chapels in Ghana and rape our ancestors in dungeons under the chapels and still pretend to be praising God. Sadly Christians of today after being indoctrinated into the religion by slave masters sill oppress other religions in countries they are the majority. For example so called Christian Mission schools in Ghana starved senior high boarding school girls during Ramadan because there was a rule of no fasting for both Christians and Muslims and forcefully tried to convert Muslim girls, flog them if they don’t go for worship and all of that. The Muslim community had to rise up and talk about it before something was done. Unlike Islamic oriented schools like the one I attended where Christians were actually allowed to go to Church every Sunday outside of the school and never forced to go to worship in the mosque. So there is a lot of personal experiences. If we all want to open up about them there will be more resentment.

@ijaabo8142 Unfortunately, the podcast never failed to warn us that it is a Muslim only space or audience. No offence was taken on my path, I know my truth. It just was a trample on other religions they have never learnt to experience. I follow Aysha, and she is Hijabi, so I am not a closed-minded person. This was gearing into the line of trampling on things and experiences they barely no about.

I’m sorry but this doesn’t make sense and stating facts isn’t bashing anything. The Bible has been edited many times by many unknown authors and even Christian scholars admit this. If you understood Islam you’d know why the Quran and Bible have similiarities, we see the Quran as the final testament sent to mankind and we know that the original Bible no longer exists. We believe the original Bible was sent down by God but it was altered and edited drastically by Kings and others. Respect for all my Christian brothers and sisters but staying historical facts should never be taken as an insult.

However, I still don’t get how saying factual statements that the Bible has been changed is triggering for you? Living in wilful ignorance and being scared of historical facts is so strange to me. People question Islam ALL the time and we welcome all questions and answer them. I’m genuinely sorry if I offend someone but that’s not my intention.
