Its not the foot only. You see it in the ears and the head. First steps slowly head down , ears down. Butt when she realises the pain is less, head is going up and even the ears loooking more happy.
Idn what's more satisfying to watch, the hoof trimming or the fact that when limping cows(or bulls) leave the crush and take those first few steps with some or no pain and they relise it.
I hate dairy farmers and not surprised their feet look the way they do - very unnatural environment- babies stolen and killed and then get milked to death! Well done Hoof GP for helping the poor soul
I love seeing them walk afterwards and realizing they can walk better again. Even the rest of her body is suffering from not walking properly. I’m sure she feels better all over
@@Invictus13666not like that. You really do have to KNOW what you're talking about and not something you saw with your dog once last year or something 😂🙄
The reason these poor cows need help at all is that they are forced to stand in their own shit for years and no one will help them until they have been suffering from a degenerating injury for months.
@@fabianschrotterya do realize that cows would naturally stand in their own shit even if they were outside right? They’ll stand in it, lay in it, they truly don’t care about walking around in their own shit, I promise you 😂. Just like any other animal.
@@fabianschrotterbtw, if you watch’s few of his videos, you’ll learn quickly (cause he says if multiple times) that cows living on grass have just as many hoof issues as ones that live fully inside. It’s no better.
It always puts a smile on my face when they start walking and realize it doesn't hurt so bad any more and begin to step appropriately on the hoof again.
Absolutely love seeing the before and after of them walking. Even when there’s not a big difference after, there always is a difference, it’s so good to see ❤
This one got to me, my heart broke for her watching her trying to walk & clearly in so much pain. You made an immense difference to her quality of life.
It's a crime to force these poor cows to stand in their own shit for most of their lives. He calls it a farm, but it's a concentration camp and we all know how the story ends for these "sweet girls".
Was holding my breath when she stepped out, then when she put her entire foot down I said a loud "aaaaaawh!" 😍 This was one of the most beautiful changes I've seen, she was in so much pain and then just.. relief. Amazing job 💜
I'm so happy. This cow needed relief and she got relief. Graeme is a calming force to some of the worst hoofs. Thank you Kevin, Craigie Boy for the good work you guys do.
She was such a good girl while you fixed her foot. She didn’t try to move even though she was in pain . If only people were that good while being treated. She’s a beautiful girl, I hope she heals soon.
Thank you for being so gentle as you removed the layers of mud off her hoof. I am sure she was in so much pain, felt so bad for her . Watching the cow after the hoof was cleansed and dressed she was guarding the hoof less and able to walk easier. Glad to know she’ll soon feel so much better.
Every now and again you share with us a difficult story, this is one of those. I really wanted to reach in and give you a hand, or help with the cow, something to make this easier. Thank you for unwinding a truly compassionate video where I (we) see not just how complex your job is, but how the cows can be immediately helped and relieved of intense pain as you get them on a path to healing (from hoof injury or damage).
Aww sweet baby, I can't imagine the agony of walking around with an ulcer like that on the bottom of my foot. So satisfying to see her feeling a bit better right off, and knowing she's on the road to recovery.
The poor animal, she was so sore.. Im so glad she.s got relief an in less pain.. Thank you for looking after her so well.. love to go to work with you.. Excellent job.. 🐄🤗
Graeme~, it is so awesome to watch you in your videos and how much you truly care for these cows. You have so much heart, and it makes my heart happy to watch you at work.
I cried at this video 😢 She was in bad state, hobbling and slobbery, but YOU fixed her! So glad to see her trust that hoof of hers after just a few steps! Thank you!! ❤
You amaze me with every episode. Your caring and love ❤for the cows you trim is heartwarming! Thank you for what you do and the respect you give to all animals and humans, too. Keep being you! Crystal
Great video again Graeme, it’s so uplifting when you see an animal in so much pain, that is then helped, you know that healing with now start and the animal is starting that road to recovery
Animals have amazing tolerance and resilience to pain- yet you can feel they're hurt, and guys like you are angels out to heal them. Thanks so much- as much for a tear or two at the start seeing her limp, the smile was even bigger when she started walking around. God bless you guys.
It's so heart warming to see her realise she can now put pressure on that sore hoof. During the video all I could think was "our poor baby", I look forward to an update on her.
I’m always impressed at how you read our minds, Graeme, as many of us, myself included, are watching and saying: “now why wouldn’t he wash off the hoof…I’ve seen him do it before”? That ulcer is brutal. You did an amazing job, as per usual - the level of skill and care and empathy for Mrs. Cow is amazing. To see her gingerly try to put weight on that hoof and realize she can walk on it, must give you such satisfaction. I look forward to the follow up posts about this girl. Well Done You !
Seeing her is so much pain brings tears to my eyes. I was a vet tech for 16 years and saw so much pain it still affects me. Knowing she’s in the road to recover warms my heart. Following you for years now I know she’ll recover totally. Thank goodness you are there to help her and all these cows you come across. Thank you for your videos and your knowledge. 😊
It always amazes me to think about how it’s possible for people to love animals enough to go into the veterinary field and yet be able to bear the pain, suffering, and death they have to witness. The best vets and vet techs I’ve known have been the ones who cried with me and treated my dogs as if they were their dogs too, but I can’t imagine how they are able to bear it. So it’s more than understandable if you carry those burdens with you. I can promise you this: your heart for animals (which you very clearly have) has made a difference in somebody’s life. Thank you for dedicating 16 years of your life to helping all those animals❤️
I can also attest to the emotional toll that animal shelters and rescue groups endure. Happy endings are not always the case. Just think of it: millions of unwanted dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens are destroyed in the US every year.
Oh my gosh you did such a great job I am rooting for the cow.. as soon as she put her whole foot on the ground I was so happy oh my gosh I'm addicted wow
What an awful ulcer!! I feel terror her. It still looks excruciating to me. I am happy that she could place her hoof on the ground now. Hopefully, with the medicine you applied to the ulcer and hoof, she will be healing and in less pain soon. Thanks for helping her. ❤❤
Never would I have thought that a cow hoof cleaning would have brought tears to my eyes, but this one did. It’s an absolutely awesome thing that you guys do, regardless of the smells and muck.
You are such a loving healer. Your cow patients must love you. And your viewers love that you love helping them. This channel always makes me feel better about mankind.
You are absolutely amazing. Thank you for bringing relief to these poor animals and thank you for sharing your journey. As a vet tech for 8 years my heart beams when I see a fellow animal lover treat animals with such kindness and care.❤
I love your videos and have watched them for a couple of years now. It’s so rewarding watching her leave the crush with so much relief. Thanks for the love you show these animals. ❤
This is why I love this guy and his channel! Feels so good to watch these beautiful creatures get treated like the angels they are! Thanks HoofGP! You are the man!
Gee whiz first of all never thought I would be relaxing to hoof trimming and it being so darn interesting! Watching the work the amount of detail and care that goes into a trim is so rewarding. As a viewer it's so rewarding to watch I can only imagine being there responsible for the actual work and see the final results!!! Tried watching others but this fella definitely got my attention and respect love the genuine care he provides!!!
Lately, I've been watching a lot of farriers work on many different animals. I'm obsessed lately. This is the first time I've seen your channel and I really like how compassionate and educated you are in treating these animals. You're also very gentle and kind and I love the accent I've subscribed. Looking forward to seeing more of your work. Great job on this.
Your videos make me cry sometimes. I love animals more than I like people. I know what happens to lame animals if they don’t get fixed. YOU ARE AMAZING! You make the world better one Cow at a time. You should put that on your merch. ❤ thank you for what you do.
Aww, I feel so bad for her. Gees, that hoof looked really painful and yes we could definitely hear her cries. It's sad that there's nobody there to pet her alittle bit and talk to her saying she'll be OK.
i love this ♡ just like this cow i used to “compensate” for flat feet and it was only through my mom noticing that i stood and walked “differently” that i ended up going to a doctor!!! i thought everyone was in pain when standing or walking lol, i bet this cow feels just as grateful to you as i do to my mom ♡
Actually brought tears to my eye's seeing the discomfort she was in at the start and the instant improvement she felt afterwards and being able to start putting pressure on that foot .
Oh how amazing it is to watch her realize her foot isn’t in as much pain as it was before and her realize she can walk more comfortably ❤❤❤❤ it’s incredible what you do!!! 😍😍😍
I have watched hundreds of your videos. You are certainly someone special, I’m sure to your family but to these cows and their owners. Life is short, be kind to all. 🙂
It is so incredibly heart warming how much care and love you give to each cow that you see. You really are such a special person, as is the rest of your team.
I had tears welling up in my eyes seeing the condition of this poor baby's foot. It's phenomenal how much better she's doing immediately after your work. Thank you so much for your continued care of all of these cows. They go through a lot to provide for their families.
I absolutely love this video. This shows exactly the process from intense pain to manageable and relief is quick and clearly noticeable. This speaks to the need of your profession ❤❤
Graeme you are my hero. The care you give these beautiful creatures is incredible. You treat all of them with love and respect. I wish there were more people like you.
You are a kind and compassionate caretaker. I really appreciate how difficult it is to do what you’re doing. Taking the time to cause the least pain as possible. Good on you!
I love the stark differences between the before trim (where she barely touches the ground with her foot) to after trim that she can at least put weight on it again. ❤❤❤
