Excellent, Sathish. Always nice to see old Sheaffer pens. I’m not usually attracted to all-golden pens at all. But occasionally they just work nicely. Like with these two pens. The short or long diamond inlaid Sheaffer nib is a thing of timeless beauty. It should be officially declared the eighth wonder of this world. Both the Imperial and the Targa pens were made in such a wide variety that there will be something to suit every taste. Of your two pens, I like the Imperial 777 better, because of the overall shape and design, and especially for that trademark stylish clip (whether short or long) of the Imperial line. Enjoy your new pens. Use them often. That’s what makes buying and waiting to get them worth it.
Thank you for your feedback ! Yes.. It’s those gorgeous inlaid nibs that drew me towards these pens.. Agree that all Golden finish is a little too gaudy.. Even I’m liking Imperial more than Targa even though I thought Targa would be my favorite ( based on its fan following ) !
@@sathishrao7926 ..I’ve always preferred the Imperial pens (especially the gold nib ones) better than the Targa. But the Targa is definitely more sought after. Not least because the nib looks even nicer. 🙂.. Right now, I’m desperately looking to get the Sheaffer PFM III (I already have the IV and V). Too expensive when restored and in very good condition. But I’m crazy about the PFM. Oh, I forgot to add that you definitely got a very good deal on the price for your Sheaffer pen sets.
@@sathishrao7926 …That’s a very decent price. I have two PFM V pens, fully restored and in excellent overall condition. But I bought them from a reputed dealer here in the US. And they cost me $350 & $375. Crazy, I know. I’m clearly even crazier. Thanks, though, for the latest info. Always good to know, compare and think about prices.

Beautiful pens. I liked the imperial one a lot. If you could clean it thoroughly with some dish soap and let it dry, the problem will be solved. Thank you. 😊
Thanks.. I too liked Imperial more than Targa.. Upon further investigation, I saw that the issue with Targa is with the misaligned tines (and not with glue coming off).. Did some re-alignment and it’s better now.. Will try to realign it further in the days to come !

Hi John, there’re several sites including Amazon that sell new fountain pens, but there’re just a few who sell Vintage pens. I buy old / vintage pens from ‘Antikcart’.. Some Indian Fountain pen manufacturers which’re getting international recognition are Ranga Pens, Vazir, Click, Kanwrite etc.. Most of the pens have cartridges and converters.. Trust me - you won’t like to see Motorcyclists riding through traffic choked Indian cities like mine which has a population of 10 million !
