I would like to know why COGIC don’t have their own food warehouse. As much money as is taken up in offerings and membership fees and fees paid by the men of the cloth for their licenses, and church tithes. COGIC should have their own convention center also. Whatever happen to the school COGIC had?

His statement at 3:13 is not accurate; it wouldn't been COGIC distributing groceries but rather CLDS distributing groceries 😂 so his vision was/is flawed. And notice at the end he pointed out that other jurisdictions in COGIC partnered with them but not the national church - so he inadvertently pointed out a flaw in his leadership ability. In other words, you have the smaller churches doing it but not the national church which means everyone is not on the same page which speaks to his leadership.
The Holy Spirit could not have given you permission to move forward on that. If so, you wouldn't be here apologizing. This move mainly speaks on your connection with Him. With that being interrupted, how then can you lead His people. Have a seat Rev, and get right with Him first.
Bishop Sheard you are a true man of God and an awesome bishop! I agree I believe we are missing out on a great opportunity to minister. Food is food. Your goals were clear and biblically supported. None of us know the beliefs of any of the grocery stores or food vendors which we shop but yet we all purchase food from these places and have our individual food banks in our COGIC churches and give it to those in need. Thank you, Bishop! I have mixed feelings about the collaboration but understand why you might have considered it. Unfortunately, there are still many people in and out of the church who don't have vision and will condemn those who do. They are unwilling to do the hard work towards any human effort other than what kind benefits them. Churchgoers love opportunities to cast down other believers, to get people to listen to them because, for the most part, they "ain't" saying nothin'! Thank you for keeping the peace. We pray that you find another way to help those in need.

Many churches partner with different organizations such as food pantry, Wells Fargo etc. Most of these organizations do not follow COGIC doctrine, yet we receive free stuff from them all the time. Collaborating in the effort of giving to the poor is a wonderful thing. I just hate to see this opportunity go.
It was more than groceries. For one, he was flattered that their organization could sit 21 thousand people. I believe he wanted to collaborate in a bigger way. I respect Bishop decision either way it goes hes a true man of God. But I wish he had went forward with his collaboration because it was for the sake of feeding people. Bishop no need to apologize. I see your heart spiritually. Unfortunately, there are those who are religiously/ legalisticly bound on their mind. Jesus touched, healed, delivered, set free, fed men, women and children from all walks of lifenot just the house of Israel. We work together, live side by side with people from many walks of life who dont believe in the God that we serve. When there is a natural disaster, calamity we are all affected and come together for the good of humanity because that is the heart of Christ ministry. Bishop Sheard has that heart.
