Real quick wanna thank you all for over 3,000 subscribers! It's reassuring to know that there are that many people who enjoy my content. (Edit: apologies for the quality, I didn't want it to drop to 240p but it did 😔)
This ending of Shed 17 was just... depressing. Some use the "coming out of their shell" as a metaphor for breaking past our limits. But in this, he did it literally and gained nothing from it but fear and the feeling of betrayal. The music from Dune only emphasized how utterly emotionally destroyed this poor boy was. And that's the picture you drew so well; the emotion. Though he may look like a monster, he's not one of any evil intent, but instead of tragedy. "Thomas always thought of us as our friends, but sadly, as time passed, we came to think of him as just... really useful."
It’s really cool to see some of Shed 17’s concepts actually realized without the limiting models the original video had, Your art looks absolutely fantastic
Thomas screamed. The amount of pain that he was experiencing was immeasurable. Being taken away from his family young just to work in a slave island that was cruel and unforgiving. At last the pain stopped. Thomas couldn’t feel his limbs which was very unusual. He then slowly started to move thanks to some kind of magical force. He had loads of questions. “Where am I?” Where are my arms and legs?” Where is my family?” Why am I here?” He was too busy however, to look over and see the answers. Side note: I love the little jumpscare at 4:25. Really sets the mood.
Sometimes I can't believe, how creative someone could be, how they could make one thing soooooooo different. For me 5 years ago, Thomas was no more that, my favorite tv show. But now i see how this fandom truly are. And also Amazing art. Sorry for bad English, im from Russia and i don't know English very well.
When i first saw the *spooky scary skeleton* thomas design in shed 17, the first thing i wondered was *Where are the boiler's tubes* ? In this speedpaint my questions are graphicaly answered. Edit: congrats for the 3,400!
This is pure gold, like I said on twitter, this is why I love Toon! Also good choice of music, it really fits Thomas situation. "A way back home" to where he was created indeed. Keep it up man!
@@kengodnessthatdoesntupload735 dude, plz, let him take his time, ok?, besides, *he needs to cool down from the trauma after drawing every single horrible death of the engines…*
"Picture a land, where the sky was so blue. A storybook land of wonder. A magical island, just waiting for you. The island of Sodor... *Where all my nightmares came true.* "
Paul’s Vids: *“In Shed 17, Thomas wouldn’t discover who he was, but in fact, who he wasn’t.”* (Thomas rolls up to the glass container. Suddenly, a shadowy skeleton with a funnel on his head pops up in front of Thomas. Thomas gasps as he jerks back in fear. The skeleton tries to break out as Thomas screams.) Thomas: *N O O O O O O O O O O O O ! ! !* (He tears himself out of his engine shell, revealing the skeletal and organic freak show that he had become. He continues to scream.) Thomas: *No, NO! NOO!!! NOOOOOOO!!!* (His eyes roll back as he tears off his engine face and throws it down. The face splatters onto the tracks as the camera reveals his skull, then, the screaming gets louder until it fades to black)
For a horror themed parody, it is sadistic and tragic. but because it was a project in 2015, i can forgive it. However, my main reason why it disturbs the younger fans, was that this goes to Simpsons Halloween special and i've seen all these specials before. They were non canon and shown segments of characters dying in one of them. What i can understand from Thomas as a whole including The Railway Series, is that there is going to be a symbolic and heartening ending to have the series as well as the upcoming film conclude. I still can't believe Paul would add Jimmy Saville (a hatable person from England) as a cameo in one of the two. I still like your speed paint drawing.
"In Shed 17, Thomas wouldn't discover who he was...but in fact...who he wasn't." Great work Toon! This is probably one of my favourite pieces of art that you've done! If you don't mind me asking, will you ever do the other Shed 17/Project G1 characters like Gordon, Percy or even Donald and Douglas?
I'll be honest with you, I really can't promise that. That drawing of Thomas rolling out of Shed 17 was made like a year or two ago, and it was only until last week that I decided to draw Thomas tearing out of his body. I tend to go through these phases where I draw something for some video or game once and then never again, so yeah.
Vill helm and hans gurtser, had to learn trough triol and error, how to bring their Thomas, back from the dead. The following experiment's, did not have the same word's put into them, resolting in the freak engine's and air craft! That it developed so many problems on sodor island, and around the world. In shed 17. Thomas wouldnt discover who he was.. but infact.. who he wasnt...
"That very night , Thomas dint find out who he was, he found out who he wasn't" aka the real Thomas had been in that tube that entire time and was killed in project g1 all he had ever wanted was to be free Thomas dint want the world to see him because he was not the real one after pg1 died Thomas had lost all of his friends and combined with the fact he was not the real one dint help at all so he got triggered after keth said that he was his only friend left keth was never there for hi when his friends died he was never even his fire men he even said it him self in shed 17 he and the others only thought of him as "really use full" so Thomas in a act of rage killed him
8YO or something me: hey look a fanmade thomas video lets watch it. When thomas rips off his face: *nightmares intensify* Me now: why did I not click off when I was younger, as soon as the first train death happen?
