Lets be real. Natalie was planning to wash the floor. She knows this is what it takes to get you to help !! Hahah. Love it guys. Thanks so much for the blessing you share with us. We keep yall in are prayers. God Bless..
"There is no such thing as grumpy, Natalie." Natalie, you seem to be smiling all of the time you are on the video camera. You seem to have a happy personality. The rock wall looks real nice and will soon be completed. Blessing to you folks.
Living in a city where we’ve been on water restriction, I re-use the washing water and rise water for laundry and then I use for the toilet. Your husband should get you a tank so that the water can be pumped into when done and with one load and then pumped into the washing machine for next load.
I think the world's greatest helper Eli should be promoted to Chief Water Inspector and given some extra play time by the shed to watch the water when you are doing the laundry. Of course, he should be "paid" in brownies😁 We all there is no such thing as grumpy Natalie 😁. Great progress on the wall. Blessings to your family.
Saving water to reuse is genius. To avoid mishaps caused by life issues, consider venting your hose outside so that overflow does not flood your interior. Further, consider using dunnage (wooden pallets) to elevate items from the floor - you could save a concrete bag or two. Consider splicing to extend that trailer tongue. Also, you might want to rethink delaying your wood harvest because of fire restrictions because you are delaying completing a project due to wood nonavailability - fire restrictions can last.🤔
No campfire - no fun!😟 I remember my Mom (decades ago) forgetting a couple of times to hook the drain hose over the edge of the laundry tubs. Also remember my sister and I taking turns being the first in the bath - one tub of water, two clean girls! Looking fwd to the tree harvesting. 🇨🇦
Jacob, you could use a short chunk of plastic pipe zip-tied vertically inside the gray water catch tub where Natalie can insert it & it shouldn't slip out easily. Natalie, using "lichen" the way you did is a dad joke, which means legally Jacob should be saying that. haha
Natalie, I think it was "easy come, easy go" that you were looking for. And I thought the "air gap" was a "lizard farm". As always, thanks for making your content just for me. 🤣
As I watched you carry the welder back into the shed, I got the idea - would be nice to extend your roof out for a covered work space. Weld in the shade. More roof to catch rain too. Looks great. Thanks for sharing
My mom had an automatic washer next to a wringer washer. Wash water went into the wringer for rugs, tennis shoes, rags, etc. Then the discharge ran out to the lawn. So all the water was used 3x. She also hung the wash on a line. Hope the damage was minimal. I used to have a small gas setup which I sold thinking I would never use it again. Then I bought, and am now buying off-grid property and will need to weld. This time I bought cheap MIG/TIG/stick welder. Should be closing the 17th on my new property .
I am sorry that I haven’t commented on the last three videos, but I did give thumbs up just been busy. I don’t know whether you are going to lay those rocks even around in a straight line but I really like it when you’re going up and down along the edge of the rocks, so we are anxiously waiting for you to be able to get some logs❤❤love ❤
Why sit the turn around, run your hose out? The wall and take that hose and put it in a bucket. Or drop you a 55 gallon drum right there. That you can in the ground that you can fill up with the water. Because you got your hose in the barrel. And then you won't have to worry about it. Until the bit, you 5 gallon bucket overflows. You can always pump it back from the pitch of that guy on the bucket back in the washer.
So happy you explain about the wall, because I was wondering about that. Thank you, love all your videos, and I love your family, I like watching your homestead growing, but wow the rocks you have, shame you can't find a way to make money from them😁😁😁
I remember re-using the first load of wash water. We had double basin tubes in the basement with the stiff hoses linked to the washer. First load was lights & whites with hot water. Second load was dark colors by using the wash water from that first load. The washing machine was set to handle this process. I am not sure if washing machines today are even made to do this. ??? Rinse water was always fresh water pumped in from the water source. Natalie is a real trooper !!
Don’t feel bad Natalie, us moms are always multitasking and some times stuff just happens. Glad you got the water out. 😊 And great job on the rock wall you guys! Hope the fire ban ends soon…..gotta get those logs!
may need some palettes for shed, to get the bags off floor. Just in case. And man o man, we need more rain 🌧. I hope the fire restrictions get lift soon. Camping is not fun with a fire to light the night.
as precious as ms. natalie is, if she does get perturbed at something or someone, i will venture to say it is justified. she has to have little wings under her shirt!.............g
One of the tongues too short, go get you some square tubing that size well with all the way underneath the tongue, just to almost to the axle, make it stronger and make it to where you can have it longer, and then put your ball hits on it toward you can Snap it to it then later. On put your little hydraulic builder. Like a one of those gate hydraulics fashion the laugh that'll just lift straight up on the front end of it and bring it down.
That walls looks really great, I'm curious to see the wood siding, I would be temped to take the rock all the way up. You are going to hate me for this but the rock would also look great around the tank. (maybe)
Ilove the rock wall at first i thought that going to look ugly but as you worked on it become a beauty i wish i had some of the rocks togo around the bottom of my house.
Hi guys, looking good! Just a thought, it might be worth picking up a couple of old pallets so if you have dry materials like cement/plaster etc to store in the shed you could put them on the pallets to keep them dry if you have another accidental flood? Otherwise your moving along nicely! Best to all Andy, south coast of England.
So why don't you run the washer hose through the wall and connect it to a closed tub then put a pump in the tub to go back to the washer. That way you never flood the shed again.
Hey guys, Hello from the people's Republic of California. Question, do you think a shopping bag made into a pastry bag would make appling the mortar a little easier? What do yah think?
We're always using it. We haven't had any major rain storms at our place. They seem to go right around us. But we have collected water from the small storms that we've had. That being said, our tank is about half full. Thanks. 🙂
