Just added a pair of wheeled scaffolding to my 12’ x 32’ shed. Does allow for handy shuffling of attachments. I bought pairs of furniture dollies and screwed 50” to 60” decking planks between them for my 56” tiller and 48” box blade. Also bought a Heavy Hitch wheeled stand and attachable dolly wheels for my 54” belly mower (thank you for the discount code). Oh, and Peter’s Dollie’s for my FEL. The waltz of the attachments.

I just recently purchased three sections of that scaffolding to support an A-frame that I plan to use to pull a pump out of a well. I've been brainstorming about what to do with the scaffolding when that project was complete. Now I've got some great Ideas. I appreciate the quote of scripture at the end. That one really spoke to me. I did a screen capture and added it to my screen saver rotation. Thank you. I got a brief glimpse of what appears to be a mini-split air conditioner installed on the left wall of your garage. If that is what it is, the shelf above it is severely restricting the airflow into that unit. The ones that I had installed required 6-8 inches clear, above the unit. So if you're having problems with the efficiency you might look into that.
@sascotttx5145
@sascotttx5145 20 дней назад
I just realized your video is 5 years old. My guess is you've either already modified the clearance for your a/c unit, or it works just fine like it is.

I broke down and picked up 2 of those scaffolding racks on wheels from Northern Tools for $149 plus taxes each I have a low 8 foot ceiling 2 car garage with one 8 foot door Not much room for all My implements I was able to put My 5 foot Box Blade on one and My 5 foot Rototiller on the other ( But I had to put this one all the way down ) I parked the rototiller at the back wall then the Box Blade right in front of the Rototiller,and took My forks off the Lift Plate and put them against the wall I put My Brush Hog and Loader Bucket on the Tractor and backed the Brush Hog under both of them, but the wheel on the Brush Hog just clears the Rack against the Wall I originally bought Pallet Racks to store implements, but the scaffolding works way much better Thanks Again Tim, and thanks to Your generous wife for letting You fill Your Toy Box with neat stuff Ken in Florida

It's great to see how people store things as most of us are struggling with the same issues. I just bought two of the 10X20 Shelter Logic tents. My plan is to cover each with a tarp, and change that tarp every year. I saw a video and the way the guy used the tarp was very neat and looked good. Not making it tight is important as I found out on a smaller Shelter Logic tent. Very appropriate verse at the end, the more you have, the more you things you need to take care of the stuff!

As someone without a backhoe for my Johnny, I’ve been intrigued by the front hoe bucket attachment. I’d like to see that attachment in action😁 As far as storage goes, having attachments/gear stored in a way that allows them to be easily moved around the shop is such a blessing! You all are certainly making the most of your space. Nice work!

Thanks Tim and Christy for answering the question of where you purchased the pallet racks and I really like the idea of using the yellow scaffolding that can be moved around. This gives me a good idea of how to situate the floor space in a building. From watching your channel I have seen many implements and tractors and mini excavator coming into the family and finding room and storage appears like a tough challenge - a nice problem to have but we like to take care of our equipment! Thanks to the both of you for sharing your adventures with us and providing such a wonderful methods of using and providing insights of what would work best for the given situations. You both are appreciated! I too am a retired software engineer from Lockheed Martin.

I got the same problem here to … My machines are a little bit bigger. But my barn is far from ideal for placing the things like you do. I do not have a concrete floor, and because of that I can't use a dolly to move my equipment. Otherwise I would do it just the same like you show us. It's always nice to see your eyes go to twinkle when you talk about us, your viewers. We like you Tim and your family.

Hi Tim, you have great ideas for storage the pallet racking is an awesome way to get things off the floor. I am lucky my dad lives only a half mile from me and we used to farm so we have a 60x100’ pole bare that’s where I keep my tractor and dump trailer and all the attachments for the tractor. Pallet racking for me will be the next step for some organization of attachments. Thanks for some great ideas as always. Jeffrey Misch

Tim...Heavy duty casters on the bottom of pallets. Also, crutch bumpers, or pit pats off of crutches on the front of your pallet forks while they are stored will save your ankles and shins as you are moving around your equipment.

I recommend a Genie Handy Lift, I’ve used one for years it will lift up to 1000 pds up to six feet off the ground and works great in a small garage, basically a hand crank fork lift and they roll around on wheels, they come in different height’s too ...

They make a canvas roof, where you can use them for the side walls and have a pole barn space you can service equipment. get the hi-cube and you'll have a high ceiling and the wind won't blow them away,,,, if you get some please name them ying and yang or Left and Right

More like a 60'x80' shop is needed. Lol. Maybe even go as large as 90'x120'. But you would need an acre (or more) to put a shop on for storage and room to turn around with a trailer.

Another vote for pallet racking. Great tip on used pallet racking dealers. I ended up buying mine new because the local used racking was the same price or more expensive than the used! Also just a note be sure to level them and bolt them to the floor. It would not be any fun to pull over an entire rack if something catches on a shelf lip.

For the door opening at the bottom get yourself a 1/4 or 3/8 hollow pipe about 6 inches wider on both sides of the door flap to put in the end of the door it gives 2 functions when the door is rolled up nice and neat and helps keep the wind from ripping the door to shreds

I use 2 New Haven furniture dollies for my backhoe but they have the heavy duty casters on them. Now in my case they where are free to me because they got left in my trailer by somebody that I have no idea who, because I haul office furniture. They work beautifully because they're higher quality then Harbor Freight dollies. If you want to check them out go to New Haven.com but be warned they are a little expensive. But you can also get some decent casters for the ones you have fairly reasonable. They are a soft rubber tire on a 3-inch for a 4 inch wheel. The height solution for your pallet rack to get Johnny's Forks up a little higher I use a good set of car ramps and run the front wheels up on them. You can get those plastic ramps that are pretty strong and easy to move around at O'Reilly's or even Walmart and they aren't that expensive and pretty durable. And some of them even stack on each other. Just some thoughts to help yea Tim

Is there a sign on the shed that says "TIM'S TOY BOX"? If the shed were taller I would suggest a drive on lift that Vinny could rest on and Johnny parks under. The drive on lifts have wheels, too.Maybe there's room, I can't tell for sure. I've seen many hotrods stored this way.
