Yes, just like cars and anything else that is financed.
Sheds are typically on rent-to-own terms and if they fail to make their rental payments we pick them up.
My wish is not for anyone to get anything repossessed but rather for everyone to make great decisions and prosper.
I understand people fall on hard times and that sucks but it all comes down to responsibly, if you can't pay you can always voluntarily return it.

Not knowing her whole situation but. If you make a certain amount of income you qualify for earned income credit and in my situation got 3500 back on my taxes with 2 children. I think it’s double that now with 3 kids now. Just part of the tax code.

@@MsLori1973 when my children were little if I made about 13 grand and I could get back about 2300 extra over what I paid in taxes. Basically 0 in taxes and get back and get 2300. That amount has gone up over the years. More kids more money also. But you have to actually have an income to get that money. If you only made 3 or 4 grand you would only get a fraction of that. If you made more than the 13 grand you will get less. Not sure what the amounts are now. But it’s called earned income tax credit. Part of the tax code that benefits millions of lower income folks. May even keep a lot of children from starving to death. I know it helped me. That extra money I invested in tools and equipment that helped me earn more money. What one might refer as lifting me out of poverty. I raised 2 children on my own with no help from their mother. Not like I could work a full time job and take on raising 2 children at the same time.

Sue they can. Boys can live in.one room n girls in another at a certain age. Babies can reside together n in parents room. My mother is n has been a foster mom for yrs. If this yr 2024 they allow moms to have kids back in a reg trailer im sure they can't touch them. N as a foster they ate thoroughly investigated. Are they her kids or foster. U seem unsure n are making assumptions. I don't agree to a lot of opl do but are they clothed fed roof over head n all necessary things in life. They wouldn't be aloud 5 kids unless it was properly checked out n they passed a home inspection and their own personal.bqckgrpund checks etc. Cps doesn't just plop.kids.on a porch. N u cannot just unhook hydor propane or water n u are definitely not.allowed.romdo any type.of.insoection that's forced entry. I get what your doing n what your thinking but man u can't just assume n make.your own law or run ppl.d9wn b3csue your doing better thsn others thats wrong.

Don't know about foster kids but I know someone who works only part time few hours a week for just a few weeks or months out of the whole year intentionally just enough to have a few taxes withheld from a paycheck and meet income threshold for maximum benefit of claiming earned income credit so when tax time comes she can claim that EIC for all her kids and get a $20k plus refund check while living off government benefits the whole time. 😮

The first thing I thought of is "Oh no. That many children living in this sized tiny house plus possibly 2 adults... no no no " Then at the wrap up of the end Did you see what is on the outside front porch? An assisted bedside potty chair... smh exposed to all of the outside weather and absolutely no privacy unbelievable.... There is a reason they did not want him to see inside. I would have called the locals for a definite "Welfare Check. for all of those babies." I would not have been able to live with myself if something happened to them. I bet no safe heat inside the shed either.... Especially Not being allowed to look and see all is ok... I know he said to inspect the building... But it already turned to the safety of children.

Who in their right mind would have the toilet at the entrance of the front door if they aren't using it? Just doesn't make a bit of sense. If you're late on a payment and they have to repo it, that's not stolen property. To steal something means to take it without asking. If you sign a contract and they have to repo it, it is not theft.

Sorry to say, if they are living in it, it's a home and they have to be evicted. You unfortunately have no legal right to take it until you go through the courts. Only a judge can do this for you. It doesn't matter if they are trash or not. So just a contract does not allow you to enter private property and take someone's home, in this case.

This is abuse, we have a shed the size of what they are living in & I cannot imagine 2 people let along all those children living in there. They didn’t want you to see inside because of probably how horrific the living conditions were & what about clean water & sufficient bathroom facilities? They probably go to the bathroom in buckets! I really hope you notified authorities! You seem like good, loving people & I know it must be difficult turning them I. But those children need a voice & you are it! I pray you make the right decision! 🤗

Right, I grew up very poor. My mother and father had 9 of us, (and trust me it wasn’t for tax returns) we lived in a house my dad built, no running water, no electricity. We had an outhouse and got our water from a spring. We always dreamed of bigger things but we were happy. And our biggest fear was being taken away from our parent because “people” thought because we lived different we were neglected. We were loved, and we grew up fine. My youngest sibling is now 36. In my opinion this video is sad because low blowing someone is a sign you are losing and low blowing is the only thing you have left to try and make yourself out to be better when you aren’t.

I now live in a 24' travel trailer, no water. no electricity, in the desert, 25 miles from town. Children abide with all sorts of negligence and want, they don't know any better. But having kid after kid when you can't care for them appropriately is abusive. Here in KY everyone is obligated to report neglect abuse etc. yes CPS needs to be called ASAP there is not enough sq. Footage in that bldg to house 6+ people. I had to call CPS in one of the families I worked with in my job. I was scared even though you can do it anonymously but I knew I did the right thing. The children were removed from the home and placed with family where they were bathed fed and had a more enjoyable life. Josh and Sarah call you will feel better doing the right thing. I know you are out of the repo business and I can see why. But an update on this situation would be nice. God Bless you both.

My mom was very overweight like 300lbs 4' 6" but she baby sat then my dad left as he was supporting the family of 5 kids we shared bedrooms 3 boys 2 females we shared bedrooms as each one moved out we got more room But every bedroom was larger then that shed. What buy more sheds get more kids? Hell my 40's year old boys both have there own room (want em?) One works the other is disabled but can't get ssc he earns 0. He used to make 6 figures until he got shot in the head.

That SOUNDS good but in practice it would essentially mean that society would collapse because there would be no bottom tier. It sounds cruel and to some degree it is but it’s worth stating that not everyone whose poor is miserable. To some degree were already seeing this because lots of people who would have been married and had a family in the past are currently single and endlessly swiping on tinder or even if they are in a relationship/married plenty don’t feel confident they could afford children. It’s no accident that so many South Americans were recently let into the country.

I believe your comment is spot on. Rather than engaging those people in a back and forth conversation, the police should have been notified and let the authorties follow up on that deplorable situation. After that would be the time to look into picking up the building.

Repossession is like a Mexican standoff sometimes. I worked doing repo's when I got out of the Army. It can be brutal. Folks think they own the item they fail to make payments on. Putting up fences and gates and keep out signs is all a sign they are crooked. 5 or 6 kids growing up like that will produce more of the same in the future. You may find yourself trying to repo a shed from one of their kids in years to come. If that place caught fire and those children perished, heaven forbid, you'd feel guilty for not reporting this situation. Do the right thing and turn this welp into authorities. At least, then, it won't be on you if nothing is done.

We had family friends that lived a mile up the road from us. They lived in an old barn. Wood heat, rainwater collection water and outhouse. My parents helped them a little but the parents were not intrested in working. This was the 70s , 80s and early 90s so maybe that was more acceptable then. Some of the kids turned out bad others turned out great and overcome the situation.

How sad it is that the government keeps handing out money to people who keep having kids for the money. I think if it were me, in the situation you were in in this video. I would have walked outside the fence, called CPS and then the law. Those poor kids!!! They have a terrible life and they need to be rescued. You have much more patience than I have too. I couldn't have stood there and argued with that man, either one of them. You are a hero, for putting up with this type of stuff, and not punching those people in the mouth.

They have tried (and successfully done so for many) convincing people that taking others’ money long-term is without shame. That’s wrong. Dude if you didnt call CPS im honestly kinda disappointed in you. This is 100% clear cut neglect. Having 1 or 2 kids in that building during tough times is one thing, but having 6 kids in that tiny house is seriously wrong. No running water, zero privacy, and i HIGHLY doubt theyre being bathed regularly and the place is prob absolutely trashed. Not to mention her admitting to using kids for money.

6 kids in a shed with no water, toilet, bathtub etc. That is OK? And they are probably right about the tax money. She probably made 0 money then gets all that for the kids. 1 month after she gets the money she will be broke from drug and alcohol use. Even if you call CPS they might or might not ever check this out. The toilet is on the porch.

Illegal access by repo agents, such as entering closed garages or locked gates without permission, is a breach of peace and a violation of the property owner's rights. Dont let these repo guys bully you. Call the cops on them. Regardless a repo man can not enter a locked fence or garage or damage your property. You can have them arrested.

Just from the looks of that filthy front door, you can bet the inside of that vuilding is trashed and filthy. Also, there is a difference between repoing a car and a shed. You BOUGHT the car and it has a lien on it that you are foreclosing on. . The shed you RENTED and ownership has not transferred until it is paid for. They are all standing around in their pajamas. with that many adults, they should all be out working and not watching TV in a shed.

This is bad on many levels. I feel so bad for the kids. We have Americans with kids living like this and yet we have thousands of illegals set up in high end hotels with credit cards and medical. The cost of rent in this country has gotten out of hand. These people need to be held accountable and pay for their stuff but the point of living in a shed because it’s the only thing you can afford is crazy.
