This is a brilliant video!! I’m about to clean a lot of raw downs wool (am told it has less lanolin but more scuint, also is not a superior wool so good for insulation) from my sheep farmer friend, in an old bathtub over a fire. I’ve been unsure about using it as insulation for an old stripped down caravan but now I’m just excited after watching this video as you guys have answered SO many questions and in such a succinct way. Thanks so much.

It is an insulation vacuum normally used to remove insulation.

What’s the R value? I’d still want to go with rockwool…the cost sounds prohibitive though…

It is a cost upgrade without an R-value bump. It is very similar to a Rockwool or Cellulose 3.5 per inch.

How does it compare to Hemp or rockwool?

It is very light and fluffy. It feels closer to fiberglass than anything else.
