Like all cities that now rely on hospitality and unusual small buisnesses for income and vibrancy Sheffield has had its day yet again. The lack of real opposition and fortitude against lockdown will take its toll. It took decades to become fantastic after the desimation often late 70s and early 80s. It will take at least as long again if ever again. As only public servants and those who can work from home will have income of significance socio economic divide will become greater
Don’t live in Abbeydale Road specially on bonfire night all the pavements was blew up Don’t go anywhere with your car cause there’s nowhere to park oh and on Ecclesall Road most of the shops are closing down don’t bother going into the town centre also nowhere to park and lots of traffic wardens oh and lots of shops closing down oh and several cars been vandalised or stolen unruly gangs I could go on but at least one thing those horrible shipping containers are coming down Heads need to Roll for that one
It's alright! The Peak District is just up the road, look at all the parks as well! I'm fairly new to Sheffield so just finding stuff out, plenty of vintage clothes shops in town, plenty of other shops as well. I found a good dentist straight away on Abbeydale rd, which is difficult to do elsewhere in the country and I found a great orthodontist on eccy rd too. I go out walking, running and cycling, I love Sheffield, I think it's fab!
Where to live in Sheffield for all the money in the world I can't think of one place other than it's the most antisocial city in the UK from personal experience it's a hell hole but then again I'm a poverty stricken council estate trash left with the garbage
