For a city it's really not. The rough estates are pretty tame compared to most cities and a lot of towns in West Yorkshire and the outskirts of London. The town centre is clean and safe. It's great for students. It's surrounded by fantastic countryside and got a nice shopping mall in Meadowhall. I've been to far far worse cities and towns over the last 50 years

Spent most of the past year travelling across the U.K - I would rather visit abroad though as can learn about other cultures, food & language

This weekend im in London but if it could be anywhere I think a hot climate by a beach would be most ideal as its very cold here now
