At the age of 16, the noble Verses of the Glorious Quran piercd my heart and filled it with the love and joy of Qura -- the star performers constituting the "pleiade" (group of legendary reciters (the elite). I t herefore hold the view that it is worth highlighting here other "événements sensationnels ou des faits historiques importants" precisely about Sh. Mustafa Ismail in fairness to him for his valuable contribution to Quranic Recitations. Briefly (i) Sh Mustafa Ismail is unanimously agreed to be the greatest reciter .. Mohammad Abdul Wahab who said: that he had listened to many great reciters but there is none to match with Shs. M.Rifaat and Mustafa Ismail. Or , when the night is young, the rising of the full moon from above the valleys,casting its silver garment every where possible.

Sheikh Husary is standard in ulum tajwid. Sheikh Mustafa Ismail and Tablawi tariq are standards in ulum maqamat. While Sheikh Abdul Baset is just a unique voice but less varieties and patern in recitation and his maqamat is expected by listeners, compare to Sheikh Mustafa Ismail he got many patterns of one maqam that unexpected by listeners. In Malaysia, Sheikh Mustafa Ismail taranem become standard in Quran recitation competition. If a participant qari immitates Sheikh Abdul Baset, his marks will be deducted because the unique voice is only for Sheikh Abdul Baset.

Brother Naveed. Kindly refer to what I have written above. Without hurting your feelings and with due respect to Sh. A Basit, there are other legendary Qura also whose recitations are unmatched. To cite only a few : Shs M Rifaat, K Y Al Bahtimi, M S Al Manshawi , A E Shaisha. "Et le non-moins legendaire Sh Mustafa Ismail. These renowned and legendary reciters had their own specificities peculiar to them. For e.g: Sh M ustafa Ismail -- he had an angelic voice to which there is no paralell. On top of that, he had a clear great voice with full control and the best intonations that keep the listeners alert, something like the Alpha wave of the brain. His epic recitations -- incredibly versatile, beyond comprehension and imagination,out of this world, mind blowing, heart warming and heart melting ( filled with joy, sorrow and emotion that really touched the heart) -- are a blend of rhythmical maqaam and electrifying styles reflecting "the velvet voice of Misr - honey for the ear" "The voice from Paradise - heavenly voice", and "The voice from here to Eternity ". Little wonder therefore that Sh. Mustafa Ismail is Sultwaan ul Qura, Sultwaan ul Maqaamat, 'Qari Misr ul Awwal, Qari of the last century, the Giant of the Giants. And the best of Imam of Reciters, unless proved otherwise. These nomenclatures are nothing short of the transparent crystal of truth . These characteristics , highlighted above, inherent in him as a gift from the Munificient undoubtedly make him also unmatched, unless the contrary is proved.

Brother Junaid. I fully concur woth your views. However, the voice of Sh. Mustafa Ismail (Sultwaan ul Maqaamat) is also out of this world -- The voice from Paradise. The voice from here to eternity. Allahu Akbar Kabira. Idem for Sh Kamil Yusuf Al Bahtimi ( gifted with a very beautiful and rare voice by the Munificient) and Sh Mohammad Rifaat (The voice of immortality). Sh. Brother Sameer. My reply will be in 4 points in development . POINT No 1. "A priori"' please read ALL my insightful comments and replies on this page. "C'est trop simpliste comme argument" to say that X or Y is the best. Such plea is simply a viewpoint on incomplete grounds. It is devoid of reasoning. It lacks he logic of facts. It may also not be congruous with reality. So there is a dire need to substantiate beyond reasonable doubt "le bien-fondé ' of such plea with a view to clothing flesh to the bones.

pOINT No 2. "Dans mon champ de vision", I see one and only 'best reciter' -- Sheikh Mustafa Ismail. Have your eyes glued to the screen of your laptop and your ears keenlycocked to it. The remarkable talent within you deserves to see and hear the truth. At 8min 33sec the legacy of Sh Abdul Basit is that he was one of the top 5 reciters. MaachaAllah. A renowned legendary qari. No doubt about that. But not the best (No.1)for the good reason that at 8min 53sec it is stipulated in writing and also said : Sh Mustafa Ismail, king of reciters - sultwaan ul Qura.

What is being spelt out above is the startling reality "claire, nette et sans equivoque"and sheer evidence. And evidence does not require proof. No one is named or appointed sultwaan ul qura without being the best reciter, unless proved otherwise. This nomenclature of sultwaanul qura or best reciter, applicable to Sh. Mustafa Ismail, is nothing short of the transparent crystal of truth. Moreover, there is no precious little sign of any adverse comment on the net as a counteract to what is bein clearly written and sais with reference to the scoop.

In the light of the foregoing, there is no need to travel distant lands, climb the topmost hills and cross the Rubicon to find out that at this point of time, till now, " le non-moins legendaire" and sultwaan ul qura : Sheikh Mustafa Ismail was and is simply thee best -- to use your own words . @@aboobakarcassam804 relax bro! When I said he will ‘always be unmatched’, what I meant was so far there is no reciter that can match Sheikh Abdul Basit (from the ones we have heard) in my opinion. And I personally don’t think another Qari in the future will be able to. Because as we getting closer to the end of times. But anyway it is possible and only Allah knows. But in my opinion Sheikh Abdul Basit is unmatched now and no Qari (old or new) that I’ve heard can match him

The experience I have acquired through listening the star performers for nearly 65 years holds me in good stead to say that you have lost sight of the fact that Sh. Mustafa Ismail was and is "par excellence"the best Quranic reciter. Kindly refer to my insightful comments and replies to brothers Yasser, Naveed and more particularly to brother Sameer for more information. To be brutally frank here , I hold the view that your statement above is sheer chicanery of the petty fogging type construed or likely to belittle the role of o ther Qura. It pains me to say that you are being discourteous towards them, oblivious of the fact that these legendary reciters had contributed a ton by displaying their remakable talents to give the Quranic Verses their patent nobility and intrinsic values. Don't get me wrong. At the age of 81, I don't want to lock horns with you or anyone on the net . Same. Technically Siddiq Minshawi and Mustafa Ismail might be on the same level but melodically, for me, no-one beats Abdul Basit
