Assalamu aleykum warahmetullahi wabarakatuhu I am trying to become more strict when it comes to islam and one of the things which i feel will be very important is dawah I am a salafi and i have been seeing some brothers fight each other over this so i would like to ask a simple question- Are there any ayahs from the Quran and is there any hadith from Rasulullah salallahu aleyhi wesellem which can be used as evidence against philosophy? (I will also accept sources from righteous scholars, as Allah has commanded us to follow them in the 59th ayah of Surah Nisa) Jazakallahu khairan

Just ask yourself Are you better than the sahaba? Are you better than the salaf? Do you have access to more good than them? Will you do more good than them? No no no no no never So why didn't they use philosophy/kalam And Imam Mohammad ibn Idris Ash-Shafi'i said:" there is nothing more hated to me than ilm al kalam" and " my ruling on the people of kalam is that they're hit with shoes and branches and paraded and it is said this is the reward of the people who embraced kalam and left the quran and sunnah"
