Im still blown away that Ford actually read my mind and did what none of those idiot past execs at ford nor any other American automanufacture set to do and actually utilized the flat plane crank layout in their engines. It was already well known that going FPC would yield great benefits, i can only surmise that they didnt want to be forced to build a higher quality higher stress tolerant engine to do so. Rather their excuse was that they felt going FPC to produce power was a european thing, and americans wouldnt like their engines high reving and higher pitched, they want their engines producing power down low and not up high.. WHICH AS A RESPONCE WAS COMPLETELY DUMB AS HECK but not all together untrue. our engine were indeed dumb and lazy. power down low and next to nothing up high where the power is actually needed the most. so it was typical for mustangs engine to power up strong in the early rpms, but quickly fall out of breath. power curves aways deminishing never growing. how we missed out on a great thing for so long. litterally getting the best engines at the end of the combustion era. smh.
