Ford hit a home run when they designed the coyote platform. The variants that derived from it are nasty. That Predator and 7 speed Tremec are an awesome paring.

My old fjr is running 10.20s no wonder I ride away from hellcats on it all the time.I didn't even realize I smoked one a while back I just noticed something annoying sitting in my blind spot on the interstate at about 90 so I kicked it down to fourth and stretched it out for a bit then hit fifth for a few seconds and let off at around 150 and a couple seconds later a hellcat goes flying by about 140.hope his girlfriend was with him so he cant BS her about how awesome his car is anymore, old man on a 20 year old sport tourer left his ass.
@SinamonStick_392 yes it does. Unless the Demon isn't stock. 40yrs around race cars so I know more then most. But if the driver in the Gt500 also falls asleep at the light then yes. Been proven by Demonology. He lost many times against Gt500s. He owns a Demon. Now his Demon isn't stock anymore.

The Mustang was lagging stage and got a run every time, the front air dam was clicking the stage light not the tire, it left early every time and got a better launch! CHEAT!
I’m a MOPAR guy all day. Ain’t no shot a full weight hellcat beating a gt500. Maybe the higher trim ones like red eyes, but even then. We too damn heavy lol good stuff though
I’m pissed because back in the day I was all team Mustang but they were so damn slow. So I Switched to MOPAR who had taken over the game at the time,then Ford builds the Coyote and took the game completely over. It’s too late to switch back now… maybe one day. 😂😂😂
This was extremely close given the hellcat has a small supercharger and weighs way more 😂 just sad this gt500 came out 5 years later and it’s really not impressive 😂
Impressive that the hellcat was only 2-4 seconds slower. Being heavier and down on horsepower makes me wonder what the RedEye, Super Stock and Demon would do in comparison.
GT500 has a DCT management module.Extremely hard to 60’ under 1.8.Hellcats are engineered for digs(traction arms,solid axle,and suspension).Ford’s extra power can still run the Hellcat down.IRS is not ideal for drag strip.With a solid axle and the right tranny,these stock 500’s would be low 10’s.

Nah this is legit sad for the non racers the GT500 has a 2.65L supercharger and the base hellcat has a 2.4L supercharger plus the GT500 weighs a ton less 😂 the actual competitor to this gt500 is the demon both top trims of each company and it’s no contest demon wins all day 👹👹
@@abduljones2522 you must not know how engine size works. It’s 6.2 liters of displacement but the engine is physically smaller due to 1 camshaft. The 5.2 has 4 cams 32 valves so it’s a bigger engine overall plus with the larger supercharger it makes more power. Ford is legit sad tbh
Obviously you don’t, because counting liter’s is one thing, and counting camshafts is another… You wouldn’t say a 4 cam supercharged V6 engine is bigger than a single cam V8 simply because it had 2 or even 3 extra camshafts!
