Didn't know it was built without stripes. Overall very informative and the car - wow a real deal 67 Shelby 500 in blue, that's a very special feature and I really appreciate it so thanks very much guys.
Thanks, not often I venture outside GM-videos, but on this channel I know I will be getting quality information about equally cool cars, that I just don't know that much about!
The upper scoops did NOT come from the Mk II. The Mk II was used as inspiration for the scoops. They were not taken off a Mk II as some have said. BTW, it is a Mk II and NOT a GT40. GT40 had a 289 engine. The Mk II had a 427 FE engine, T-44 transaxle and very different bodywork in the rear clam.
Love that color!! Acapulco Blue? I never knew that the GT500s got their engines set back like that! My old '68 Cougar had the optional shoulder harnesses, but not on the inertia-reel.
G’day Muscle Car Campy from Australia, Love your video & yes I am a subscriber. Just a question was the 1967 Shelby GT 500 the last ever build multi carb Ford engine ever. I had this argument with Ford Fanatics who tell me that you can get 1967 Fairlane’s with multi carbs which I agree but this was the only time there was a multi carb 428. Great video Cheers Louis Kats from Melbourne, Australia 🇦🇺 👍 🇺🇸
