Honestly kind of nice to see how Sam's character has evolved. From not being taken seriously in a group project, and how doing a summer program at a prestigious university.

Sheldon is so egotistical and smug, it would be great to see him fail once in a while. Like with his grant data base. But he didn't learn anything from that failure. His advisors tried to advise him and he thinks he is so much smarter than they are that he doesn't need them and rejects them. Then he blames them when he falls behind Sam, who he thinks is no where near his intelligence.

That last part is actually pretty accurate for college students. Staff and faculty whose job it is to advise them are often ignored and they make their own judgements then when it turns out that they made the wrong call, they blame the staff. smh.

This show basically made Sheldon become an unjustifiable asshol. He always blamed his childhood for his issues and from what we see here. He was wined and dined his entire life and had very understanding parents. He comes off as extremely ungrateful. Makes older Sheldon look even worse than he already did
